Soooo, for the posters on the past few pages saying "it's not launch/retail yet so don't complain" , what will the excuse be next weekend ?

( hoping I'm wrong of course but I see it being really fucked fri-mon next weekend too )

They reopened the servers with a lower total population cap to resolve the problems, hence queue.

Looks like this is their interim fix? Just flat lock them to keep the pop at what the DF servers can handle. Going to be interesting come launch as when I checked just now there were 2 servers available to play create toons on - Fairie and Excalibur (Legacy).

They're just gonna have to open up more servers and force day 1 buyers onto them I guess.

Wondering this myself - will induce extreme rage of I can't play with my fiends even more than now.

But will even new servers fix their fucked up cross server instancing that's got all servers screwed ?

I can't believe I just read 5 pages of people debating whether this launch is bad or not. You guys are fucking retards if you think this isn't the worst MMO launch in at least 5 years. EVERY GAME that is brought up as 'had a bad launch' was better than this shit. SWTOR? I was playing it fine. Rift? I was like level 30 the first day. Even WoW, only a FEW servers were fucked, I was on Medivh, and we had spurts of intense lag, but we were playing right at launch with only minimal downtime over the course of the first month,a nd got a lot of free gametime out of it.

This shit? Friends can't even fucking play on the same server as me, an inexusable design choice in the first place, and then I can't play because they have more emergency maint than playable time.
The game is fun but you're an apologist of the worst order if you're trying to convince anyone that this is acceptable shit.

I don't think its the worst or the best, but it is pretty fucking mediocre and from Square Enix people do have a right to expect more than the average game company.
