The launch is not flawless by any means, I don't think anyone is arguing that, and I can totally understand people's annoyance by it. It all boils down to personal levels of tolerance though. I can tolerate some downtime/problems the first few days of an MMO launch, as long as the game itself is solid/fun, and they get the issues ironed out in the first week or so. I've been playing it since P2, waiting since April to fully enjoy the game, I can wait another week. I intend on playing this for months, so the first week is no big deal to me. I will get my time out of it and enjoy it, I am not worried about that. Hell, we aren't even on sub time yet. And maybe I am just jaded, but I just come to expect the first week of an MMO launch to run shitty, so I plan accordingly. Don't get me wrong, I do wish we could have flawless MMO launches, and people could all poopsock and drink for 72 hours straight, but it just never happens.
Some people have different tolerance levels though of what they think are acceptable problems during an MMO launch. I just think it's a bit idiotic that because someone can't play the game exactly perfect for the first few days, it's all doom and gloom this game sucks it's a total failure and it is going to burn in the ashes of all MMO's since past, and say how they are going to laugh at all the people who continue to play this horrible game. There is being realistic and then there is just being an extreme impatient ass, and I was mainly speaking to those people.
Anyways, I would rather be playing right now than debating this crap on forums lol.
