Don't just be randomly running TP/Mana song, Ao. That's a pretty big DPS nerf and it's really unnecessary to do it. Mana Song is more of an "Oh shit" button than something you run all the time with how current mana consumption is.

L2ReadTooltips. It's even worth running if you have no Magic DPSers if your Healer is nuking (they should be outside of raids!).

You mean because of the cast time with it? I pretty much only run Mana song if it's pasted into chat (or mumble) or if I notice mana getting low. On WestBank or whatever the tank wanted it when the adds spawned. I didn't argue because it seemed to work and no one else cared. Otherwise TP is only when my TP gets low. Sort of sucks I can't see other people's TP, but whatever.
Because of the -20% to your own damage whenever TP/Mana Song is up. I wouldn't watch mana, since people often have their own big mana regen abilities to use (you never need to Mana Song for a Black Mage). Just wait for a call on it and make sure to use Battle Voice with it if you haven't burned it yet, since you can usually turn it off as soon as Battle Voice fades and that'll be more than enough mana regen'd.
TP song is more or less totally unnecessary and you should get Invigorate ASAP, since you'll pretty much never run out of TP with it (sans heavy, long-term AE shit).

This. It has killed me to not play a healer for the first time since 1999. I would finally decide to change classes the very game that brought back asking for rezzes. To me, that's a major layer of community. I always like running dungeons for people who needed a particular item or update. It was always easy for me to find those opportunities because I was a healer. I wish I could be a Dragoon and a White Mage. I really need a change of scenery where i'm doing something outside of healing but even still I miss it.
It is really refreshing to not only see channels with people asking for help but channels full of responses of people willing to do so...

Well yeah kinda but the check is so low, I've killed the wall before with both bees up and the 2DPS dead, so just tank+me healing, you get so much fucking time before it ends after it spawns the bees, it's like what 4-5entire rotations. I don't even know cause I've literally never wiped to the wall reaching the end point, I've only wiped to people being dead. 3rd boss is imo more of a DPS check, but even that is ridiculously low since we were 3manning it with GC weapons and 1piece darklight and still killing it before the last statue was up.
It's kinda like retards building up LB3 on Titan. If you don't have the DPS to kill the heart with a LB1, then it's entirely a fucking skill issue and not a gear issue(I mean it can be gear too but if you have a couple of darklight, rest AK and an ifrit weap you're fine). You can kill the heart with no LB, a warrior DPSing and 3healers if everyone is playing their class correctly and have a minimum level of gear. Yet out of the fail pubs I've joined, I've seen some with 2healers, full garuda/darklight gear DPS and we still don't make the heart with a melee LB3. Shit is mindboggling how bad some people are.
Yeah, I've never seen it either. Same with the "DPS Check" of the last boss. Just saying that it's "possible" and I'm sure some of the total bads out there have hit it.
The LB3 on Titan thing is absurd, the only people who hadanybusiness doing that were the first people who killed it in all greens. I can't believe tards do that nonsense.

Considering I've been top DPS in every pug I've joined since getting 50 and blown away other bards by up to 2x their damage as well as topping people who are in almost full darklight, I'm not too worried about running AK in my gear. I do have Ifrit bow now at least.
The real problem is the queues. Specifically the fact that even a full group has a fucking queue for AK. Between the queue and the dungeon it can be 2 1/2 hours per run queuing solo, and an hour in a good premade. Fuck that shit.
As to gearscore, what you do think the odds are that they will use an actual gearscore system that weights the ilevel of items based on their slot, vs just taking an average so shittocks buy up crappy jewelry to boost their ilvl vs buying actual meaningful upgrades?

Do you have to queue if you all are at the entrance? Get guild group, port to quarrymill (favorite!), walk/ride to AK, zone in? I've never tried it, so I don't know.

Depends on what you're doing, but generally speaking, yes. Don't ever try to speed run with a DF group, you'll just smack your head against the cutscene wall.

DF group generally goes for 40 minutes in CM.
Local group seems to go for 30-35 minutes.
