ITs not just the lack of shit to do, although that is mostly it. But lets take a look at the technical issues with this game. The retarded 2.5 gcd ( I was fucking falling asleep questing because of this shit), the de-synched combat from person to person and the boss abilities. The retarded animation locks. The retarded lack of instance servers.... And not even a word about any of that shit. At least Bioware gave us a reach around with SWTOR and acknowledged it and tried to fix it. And mostly did.

Its funny how people bitched and moaned in SWTOR about this shit and yet this game gets a pass because its FF.

I think it is hilarious that people are rushing to the top in a month or less expecting this massive amount of content when it is blatantly obvious the majority of the content is currently in the middle. You pretty well ordered a burger, asked for all your favorite toppings, dressings, whatever and then decided to eat each end of the bun tossed the rest aside and complained how much the burger sucked.

If you went into FF disregarding quests, storylines, FATEs, tradeskilling, dungeon crawling, guild heists, levequests, multi-classing, and everything else that is offered on the way up, what do you want? You may as well go play EQ2, get near max buffed and go raid. I'm forced to play casually so I'm probably getting a different feel due to my pace but I have a ton to do. I haven't even touched all the content. I just don't know if people even want progression and character development anymore. How did you guys stand EQ? We had two dragons and two planes for quite a while. Again, maybe my ultra casual schedule is scewing everything.
They were able to stand EQ because they were able to block content and keep everyone else from doing it. For some of the vocal people here, that's what its all about...separating yourself from the pack. They literally can not stand it when others catch up, and that's what instancing has done. Ive been in the elite guilds here throughout EQ, EQ2, WoW etc, and can attest to its an epeen issue.

Take Sean for example, he has no job and no life outside of MMOs, so its very important to him that waves his dick around as an elitest in each MMO he plays. God forbid you have something to do and miss a raid night, youll never hear the end of it. In EQ they were able to block everyone elses enjoyment until new content came out and they took that over first. Now a days, they log 60-70 hours a week into a game and get to end game and are only to wave their dick around for a few weeks to a month before little Timmy catches up and are right back on equal footing with them. This is what pisses them off.

Sitting in front of a computer screen is all they have left, and in a world where they used to feel powerful and significant, the latest MMOs have destroyed that for them. This is why they are so vocal, its all they have left.

Nobody gives a fuck that other people are doing the same content. That shit hasn't existed for almost ten years now. You should just delete that pile of strawman bullshit and we'll pretend we didn't see it.

If you didnt do most of the dungeons they are pretty fun also the first time around, the only one I think I didnt step foot in is Aurum Vale. Cute loot for your alts while you level etc as well.
Aurum Vale is bar far the best leveling instance as well. (Not talking in terms of XP gain but fun/difficulty). The final boss is a BLAST without a high AoE group.

Sounds like someone is still butthurt from the EQ "top guilds took our kills" days.

Maybe that's the secret to making endgame content last longer? Just make it take 6 months to get to max level with brutal death penalties and a horrendous leveling curve!
Will never happen, because people already bitch if something takes longer then a few hours to do. Imagine if they could only get 1 level a week.

Everything that was said to you was accurate. The fact you were being a whiny little faggot spouting hyperbolic bullshit has nothing to do with the game having valid issues. Claiming a game should have the content of a AAA MMO at release without the dev cycle of a AAA MMO was and is fucking retarded. What part of the entire game was scrapped and redone is so hard to understand? It's fucking retarded there's only 1 viable dungeon and a tiny raid at release. Saying it should be different because the game was built around an engine that already existed IS FUCKING STUPID.

I think you forget that a good amount of people were lvl 20 before early access even started due to beta characters being carried over. So really it's not even fair to say that someone raced 50 lvls in a month, it's really 30 lvls in a month.

I played an average of about 1-2 hours a day, perhaps a little bit more on the weekends and that's not even playing every day and I completed the story and did a little bit of crafting. It wasn't all quests either, I did all the dungeons while leveling, levequests, fates if they were close to me, etc. I you can say I experienced a good amount of content in that time. If that's the definition of poopsocking perhaps we need to redefine the term.

I'm not even saying the game is bad. It was fun for what it is. When the patch comes out I may give it another go. But lets not kid ourselves, the game has followed the formula a whole lot of recent MMO's had, which is fast leveling and then not a whole lot at the top to keep you interested.

You guys are forgetting the true measure of an MMO:

What they do for the Halloween event! GW2 did a pretty bang up job last year.

I, for one, welcome whatever event gets me a Halloween-themed ManKini for my androgynous man-elf.

Dicked more than any WoW player in the transition from WoTLK to Cata?

"Yea, I know you raided one dungeon for an entire year, but here is a whole lot of new level 20 content for you to make a new character with"

Reading about all these people that were suspended for having too much gil.

Absolutely ridiculous. Beyond insane decision here. People reduced to 50k for no reason other than they were successful.....

The problem isn't even that people were suspended, because it's likely that the majority of those suspended had done something wrong. The real problem is that nothing has been done to stop anyone else from exploiting to get that much gil again, so everyone should essentially be afraid of their wallets now if they enjoy their characters.

Great way to stunt the economy... spend all your money, or we'll destroy it/you. heh.

Because comparing an expansion to a full game release is really the same thing.
