Draft picks haven't been set yet, but you could trade them prior to them being set. Could benefit one way or the other

If two of your top draft picks suck, you have no shot. That's fantasy football

A sound strategy for some new owners has been using the first year as a takeover (too late for that I guess) is to use picks to trade for a 'sure thing' keeper. You're a possible contributing player behind starting out, but it helps the longevity of your team. Food for thought.
