All the Dell OLEDs have amazing warranties to back them up.
I'll be lucky if my Samsung G8 lasts much past the first year. It has so many weird, frustrating bugs already.
Any updates on your G8? Worth picking one up?

Still has weird bugs likely related to having a bunch of SmartTV software as part of the OS.Any updates on your G8? Worth picking one up?
Well the panel is only one component of the whole build. Have to drive it and housing/stand/build quality/etc.
Cool hope they work out well. Or you return them if you don't like.
Looks like a perfectly good monitor to me. Take it out of the box and try it?So I just built a new PC (7900 XTX and 7800X3D) and looking for an amazing 27" or 32" 1440p IPS (or possibly OLED) monitor to pair with it.
Hit me with your recommendations.
Also, I bought this several years ago for my wife, but it never got used. It's still in the box. Is it still a great option or should I look for something better?
It's fine. I used one for a few years but there's much better options out there now.So I just built a new PC (7900 XTX and 7800X3D) and looking for an amazing 27" or 32" 1440p IPS (or possibly OLED) monitor to pair with it.

I know it's good. I never doubted that, but if there's something considerably better that isn't going to cost me a fortune, I'd be interested.Looks like a perfectly good monitor to me. Take it out of the box and try it?

Having used both, I found this one better, and much cheaper, as long as you don't want HDR or need USB ports:
P.S. The naming schemes of monitors makes me want to kill someone. It's infuriating trying to find information and you can easily buy something you didn't intend to unless you pay super close attention.
Final question MistHaving used both, I found this one better, and much cheaper, as long as you don't want HDR or need USB ports:
Dell 27 inch Gaming Monitor (G2724D) - Computer Monitors | Dell USA
Shop the Dell 27" Gaming Monitor (G2724D), featuring QHD Fast IPS and VESA Display HDR™ 400 technology, and height-adjustable stand. Or view all computer monitors at Dell.com.www.dell.com
But if you plan on using HDR at all, I'd go with the Alienware. 360hz OLED is just really good, very future-proof.
I'm sure it's fine, but I've never dealt with MSI RMA or support. I got the corpo hookup perks with Dell support so I'm extremely biased.Final question Mist
Thoughts on https://www.amazon.com/MSI-MPG-271QRX-QD-OLED-response/dp/B0CTS1RQ6Y?ref_=ast_sto_dp. I'm going to buy it or the Alienware you suggested. I can get the one linked for about $150 less than the Alienware. From what I've read, they're the same panel and the features are the only difference and with the discount the MSI seems like the better choice.
Which one did you end up getting? I'm finishing up a 9800 / 3070 Ti super build and need a new monitor. I'm trying to figure out if it's worth going the cheap route and getting an IPS or going big for OLED. I have an OLED TV, so I feel I will be missing out if I don't get it. 1440P sounds like the sweet spot, but 4K would be nice. Would I notice much difference at lower frame rates?Final question Mist
