Wow... I didn't even consider that being part of the stupid price tag, but you're probably right.

The free game stuff used to be part of the free twitch games which is why it's kinda only really surfaced there for some dumb reason or other.yeah, I was stumped trying to find it, and the other games for a while too.
A separate googlesearch, NOT within amazon primes main UI/store, etc, got me this.

Frostpunk 2 is now out on GamePass for both Xbox and PC and it is legitimately a sequel to the first. Thirty years later, the scale of the thing increased so you are manipulating things in terms of days and weeks instead of hours and days, whole districts are built rather than individual buildings etc.
Don't worry though. It is just as ball crushingly hard and depressing as the first one. Within the first hour playing I already had to sacrifice child workers in a coal mine fire to prevent losing the whole damn mine.
I been playing it someIs there a thread on Frostpunk 2? Looks kinda interesting from the little I've seen of it.
jesus i forgot fable is gonna be a thing
YesI'm just giving the studio too much credit.
apparently Concord cost $400m
yea but, the theme of that was, why do eastern devs make pretty game girls and america is making uggosI think an ugly "MC" in the new Fable game might work out to be alright given the trailer they released this year was all about how being a Hero wasn't what most expected. At least, that was the tone I got from it, or I'm just giving the studio too much credit.
I feel like this is unlikely. They lack virility and masculinity frankly. Compare early art by Metzen to his stuff today. They've all been consumed by soft modern. Evidence has been every 'Blizzard Alumni' company or game has been complete shit. Even Stormgate which is ostensibly an SC2 clone, has been complete garbage. They can't remake the cultural moment of the 80s and 90s they used to birth a modicum of culture.Yes, we know Blizzard sucks now, and was way better during Mike's time. Maybe he's learned the lesson of why Blizzard and the industry in general is crap these days, and only one or two worthwhile games have been released. Maybe he can show the wokesters that if you have some driving force behind the game other than shoving alphabet soup down people's throats, you can actually make something successful without the need to cannibalize old trusted IPs.
The Games Industry Will Continue to Grow, Former Blizzard President Says on the Eve of First New Game
Woke lefty sorts thirst for year Zero annihilation of the old. So yea. They want this. They just were way ahead of schedule for something like this so it plunged into the uncanny abyssI mean it does seem like you really have to misunderstand the entire canon of Western civilization to not necessarily create a failure like Concord, but specifically to delude yourself into thinking it will be successful.
The thing is, Concord wasn't that far off from being at least a modest disappointment. It seems like it played acceptably and I'm sure would have seen some popularity on PS. It just was such a complete misunderstanding of characters, humanity, motivations, aesthetics, etc. that only someone who exists only with respect to modern media could imagine it would succeed.
That's true, though they were successful when they at least were imitating real Western culture even though it was all old by that point. It's the attempt to include modern degeneracy that has really highlighted that discrepancy.Games are imitation of culture. Its why the only good ones come out of Asia and Poland.
the cultural moment of the 80s and 90s
WASPy nerds on coke listening to metal.
That's disappointing. I was considering buying this. In what way?The Dead Rising remaster is censored trash.
