Good episode. Mostly exposition through the whole thing, which was very well done. Didn't feel like it dragged.
I felt a bit more sympathetic towards Edmure in the books, whereas his intro in this episode made me resent him a bit more. The show seems to be portraying him to be a bit more...douchey, I guess. It works. The Blackfish was nicely done. The bow scene is exactly how I pictured it in the books.
Jaime losing his hand is the part where the book really starts to take off. All PoVs from here on out have some pretty integral action going on (BWoB, Dany/Unsullied, Weddings, Climbing the wall, Jaimes transformation and the bear, and more)
Ireallylike how they're handling the Theon storyline. If they keep showing a gradual progression towards him becoming Reek, it'll make for great viewing.
Also, I dont understand why people think Bran's PoV in the books is boring. Thats where like, 50% of the history of the first men/children comes from, and the conversations between Jojen/Meera/Bran is interesting stuff. Plus Hodor.
