Easier doesn't mean "couldn't do it before"

I mean, it was easy enough to make for the Mad King to stockpile enough of it to burn the majority of Kings Landing.

Wildfire requires the arcane to make. Pyromancers make it. Who pratice the arcane. Who have been around for long, long before the comet.

Qyburn is awesome. We need more scenes with him. He's got the smarmy/creepy act down pat.

Glad you know so much about making fictional crap. I look at it as wildfire being analgous to TNT, that is trinitro toluene. Thoae nitrogen groups are where its chemical energy comes from. Can make it. Throwing on an additional nitrogen or two requires much more energy. Wildfire...always able to be made through chemistry...now ot is easier and more powetful because of magic returning

How could people forget Jamies story about the madking and how he had filled the city with wildfire and was going to kill hundreds of thousands and that is why he betrayed him. It was redemption moment into why he was a kingslayer.

Wildfire isn't made through chemistry alone just like Valyrian Steel can't be made through forging alone. It's made with infusing the items with magic.

Stop being all butt hurt dude, you're asking questions, you're getting answers.

It's more like napalm mixed with TNT. Either way, it requires something called "The Substance" which is said to be arcane and only the Alchemists Guild work with it and know how to create it.

It COULD be all just chemistry and the Guild hides that fact, but it was stated numerous times that it was arcane in nature. Same with Valyrian Steel.

So I take your word a fictional explossive gets its chemical energy from magic not basic laws of physics and chemistry? Okay...

You can take the word of the fictional world we are discussing. THEY are the ones that said it.
Same people in the world that stop believing in magic in Westeros also where they seem to have little understanding of how their world works at all really? Same people that said the comet and dragons meant that magic was returning? Okay.

I'm not debating anything, I'm simply answering your question of if magic existed in Westeros before the comet. It did, it just wasn't common knowledge to the majority of people.

Just like how the White Walkers have invaded in the past, there's a giant 1000 ft wall to keep them out, there's a group of people there to man it and yet everyone seems to think they are just a fairy tale in todays Westeros.

You seem to be debying that the comet abd dragons aren't indicative of magic returning to Westeros....
It was never explicitly stated. People just sort of made that up. You had people claiming the comet was the return of magic, the return of dragons, the crowning of Joffrey, the killing of Ned, the return of white walkers, the Prince Who Was Promised and a dozen other ideas.

My understanding has always been that magic is more powerful now due to the dragons returning(or the comet), but it was always there before that.

The general consensus amongst the Uber-dorks that go off on this shit is this is the case. Comet+Dragons+Gods+White Walkers are simply the general "Magicness" of the entire world getting stronger for "reasons".

I don't even get the attachment of the comet to magic here. The only thing the comet is refereed to specifically is the return of Dragons. That's it.
