1. GRRM has been involved in tons of casting decisions. This means fuckall.
2. Possibly being the same age, that is she is probably within a year of Jon's age. Shocking! Lots of people probably had lots of sex before and after going out on a campaign.
3. She has long brown hair like Jon but different eye color. She is short and slim, Jon is lean. That is about as much of how she looks like a twin to Jon.

So basically bullshit. No supporting evidence whatsoever.

On the other hand, we have all kinds of evidence against it. For one, she is Meera Reed, not Meera Snow. Also, while Ned thinks about having to tell Jon something, he never thinks of Meera. It also doesn't match the stuff that happens in the House of the Undying.

Um, just start reading westeros.org. You could spend the next 30 pages listing off stupid ass theories. Almost all of which would have more supporting evidence than Meera Targaryen. Even my Samwell being Targaryen and being the Prince that was Promised has more support than that theory.

I'm not defending the rumor, but this isn't even remotely evidence against it. If the rumor were true, there were any number of reasons why Howland would have named her a Reed instead of a Snow.

Also, where does someone say that Meera look's like Jon's twin? I just read the introduction of Meera to Bran in CoK and he says nothing of the sort.

yeah I thought jaqen being the alchemist was all but confirmed. But the truth is that it doesn't matter if jaqen is the alchemist or if it's a different faceless man. In fact I almost hope that no other characters are revealed as being Jaqen ever even if there's circumstantial evidence that it is Jaqen. (Unless we get a short prologue/epilogue type story with an internal monolouge of jaqen thinking about arya and whatever shit she pulls in the last book. As long as it's kept internal it doesn't break the continuity of the faceless man's character).

well then why discuss anything here if everything is covered on westeros.org? this is our board and i only brought up stuff already mentioned in this thread. we have at least 5 years before all these theories are confirmed or denied. thought it would be a little fun listing all the stuff you guys have heard.

Sorry, I wasn't trying to imply that we shouldn't discuss things here. I was trying to say that your request to list all possible fan theories (which is what I thought you were asking) was something that was basically impossible.

Since it lists an October release date, and usually the paperback comes out right as the new hardcover is coming out, does that mean WoW will come out this year??

This forum does bring up meera a lot. I think people just make bad arguments against it, but personally it's an enticing theory since it deals with a relatively unknown but younger character who has a very neat purpose outside a larger scheme. There's very few young characters with lines and the theme of the book centers around young characters being the real movers of the story.

nah man, there is no need to be sorry, all i meant was i dont care what some stranger on westeros.org has a theory on as much as id like to know what theories Khalid, Soygen, Jait, Gavinrad(yes, even him!) etc from Rerolled has heard about the series. plus most of those 30 pages of theories on westeros.org are probably shit not worth mentioning anyway. its the good theories that people remember. even that ridiculous merman theory made for an interesting read.
