Theon's arc in ADWD was by far the best part of that book. Turning the page and seeing his last chapter finally named Theon (as opposed to Reek/Ghost of Winterfell etc etc..) gave me chills.

Gollum, but with a flayed cock. Wonder if they'll cut that shit?
Gonna pretend that pun was intended.

Who the F is Joffrey Lannister? There is no Joffrey Lannister in any GoT book I ever read. Why not make him a Baratheon that looks totally like he doesn't belong there exactly like the goddam book does.

To be fair, he's a Baratheon in name only. He spends his entire time with Lannisters, whereas the remaining Baratheons are all his enemies. Putting aside the sham family connection, he's 100% Lannister.

I don't really want to admit I am critiquing and arguing about bits of a youtube episode that is 5 mins long, so I will just accept your explanation on why some shitty youtube writers decided to do something the way they did. I wish I could retract my view from their video.

Not sure I'll find the answer here, but was Robert Baratheon always as much of a drunk lech or was it mostly due to the loss of Eddard's sister?

I'm rewatching Season 1 with the "added features" and it seems implied that he was but it also seems implied he was a "better man" before she died as well.

It was due to a lot of things. His marriage to Cersei was pretty loveless. He was a warrior and the wars were over and he was expected to rule, and he was pretty bad at it aside from kicking ass from time to time. He didn't share much in common with Joffrey. White people problems, basically.

It's been a while but he had a much bigger presence in the shows than the books. And yeah, he was a badass warrior and war leader who was put in charge of a kingdom during peacetime. All the other shit with Cersei, Eddard's sister etc was just secondary to the fact that Robert Baratheon was either fighting a war or being miserable.

It was pretty clear that he was regretting being king in the show I though. One of those "I thought I'd make a difference, but this just is full of suck" type feels.

It's not like he was much better behaved beforehand, from all we've heard, it's just that the way he lived his life (killing drinking eating fucking) was much more suited for life as a rebel warrior than peaceful rule.

Feels a bit more late 80's, or maybe 91/92, but yeah pretty funny. There's a good Breaking Bad one out there too.
