As I watched the scene I was of the opinion that Cersei was saying "No No" and resisting mostly due to the awful timing and the fact that Joffrey's dead body is right there.

Jaime just went on with it. We can argue ( which we probably will ) about how much of an effort Cersei put into stopping it. But No is No

I always thought that was a stupid slogan for a house. Nothing says, "Mainland superpowers, please come burn our fucking kingdom down every generation" like a statement that says, "we're an organized family who are centralized on specific islands and we really just want to raid your coastal settlements forever".

Getting pussy is not out of character for any straight male. Tywin not wanting his son fucking whores doesn't really mean he doesn't want to partake himself. Seeing as we have no POV chapters of him, it's hard to say if it's out of his true character. We really only know what he projects. People like to get freaky behind closed doors, even the most conservative.

It's weird to me because I do think this new guy is a better actor (I really liked him in Treme), but I agree, he's pretty normal for what the character is supposed to be. Having Daario be the Aryan Fabio dude made little sense in the context of his real heritage, but at least he stood out.


I really hope Charles Dance wins something for this season. Dinklage deserves all the praise he gets but I'm just always so amazed by every single scene Tywin is in.
