I'd be more inclined to sympathize with her viewing Jorah betraying her brother being a "fault" if Dany herself had not allowed her husband to melt her brother's face off. Kind of illustrated her own lack of loyalty, no? So the reaction she had that Jorah wasn't loyal to that psycho seems--extreme. I mean, yes, I'll concede it's a good point he didn't reveal the reach of Varys' spy network (I can see why that would be very troubling). BUT she keeps a merc around who cut his old captain's throat. I would think there is a punishment between "banishment" and "act like nothing happened"--After she sent him into the sewers in the book, I figured she'd just be using him for shit/dangerous work until she could bring herself to trust him again. But he wasn't 100% loyal, he didn't reveal his plans or the KL plot against her or the reach of Varys. I think that is one way the book was better in juxtaposing Barristan vs Mormont. Barristan basically throws himself at her feet confessing his faults, Mormont hides his hoping she never finds out. I'm really kind of surprised to find so many Jorah/Dany shippers here. He's lucky she didn't have him fed to Drogon.
