Happened in Quarth. Also, notice that he didn't even say "I was done with your schemes" at that point, because dany asks that and he can't meet her eyes.

Bolded showing that Dany would have been MUCH more willing to forgive if it had been sooner.
Ahh, fair enough; yes, that's different, her reaction is understandable in that light. For some reason I don't remember that at all.

That was the part in the books where I lost all hope of anything redemptive. It helps that I hadn't had that spoiled for me yet, I was so sure that this was it, and finally a Lannister was going to get it. A Lannister's man anyway, an evil fucking dude. Nah, the good guys lose again, and The Mountain is turned into a zombie so he can kill more efficiently now. God dammit.
I haven't read the books, but the impression I got from watching it was that Mountain received a fatal wound as well.

I couldn't help myself after the episode and read spoilers because I didn't have enough willpower to wait to see what became of Tyrion, but until I did I was thinking ok, maybe Mountain took a few minutes to die and Tyrion gets off on some sort of both champions are dead technicality.

Wonder if Arya and the Hound will actually go inside (be fucking weird if they don't). Sansa's reaction to seeing The Hound could go either way... but he was nothing but kind to her, and he brought Arya there.

Hound + Littlefinger interactions may be too awesome to handle

Yeah I don't see why the guards would not take them in to see Little Finger, and I don't think he would be upset to be handed more pawns of power either.

And sansa... hurmm... I do wonder... she could have been learning all these years from the queen B Cerci herself and is now ready to act.

Hound won't put up with Littlefinger's shit.

Be amazing if those four run the Vale and toss all the teet folk through the window.

So uhh, it's kinda weird that Arya and the Hound are goign to turn away from the bloody gate and not at least see Petyr Baelish. It'd be interesting if they show a scene of Petyr hearing about Arya being in the Eyrie and sending her away because she might interfere with his plans for Sansa.

That is a good point. She was surrounded by people who were masters of deception. Married to Tyrion, befriended by Varis and constantly the center point for Cersei. She had to pick up a thing or two about elegant lies.

I can't imagine a scenario where he wouldn't take control of her if he had the chance, just as insurance.

Now, the Hound just turning away would seem a bit odd to me. You'd think he'd just try to sell her to whoever is in charge there at this point. BUT the show is really playing up the relationship with Arya so they can make it in to him not wanting her in Petyr's hands. Not that he'd say it that protectively, he knows better than to deal with Baelish will be his excuse.

I doubt they'll run shit. Hell, I doubt the hound would willingly work for littlefinger. I think it's more likely that Sansa/Arya have the hound take out Littlefinger and they live happily ever after in their kingdom with the moon door.

Yeah, so they just let someone go who claims to be Arya Stark and "The Bloody Hound"? Someone is getting fired for that shit.

all the preview for next week involved the battle at the wall, if thats the case the next episode has a shit ton of content, tyrions escape / jaime conversation, death of tywin/shae, jon being promoted to lord commander (assuming they are skipping sam manipulating the camps), Arya boarding the boat to braavos, the hound "dieing" (im in the camp that believes he is the grave digger on the quiet isles). I doubt we'll see much more of Dany/Sansa etc this season.

Littlefinger is positioning himself as one of the smartest men in all Westeros. I don't think the Hound will be shoving him thru the moon door any time soon.

Highly doubt Jon gets to be LC this season, they would have to ignore all the politicking when it would be much better suited for next season. Also the finale episode title kind of confirmed Bran will be making it to the cave.
