A leaked audition tape for Obara Sand was put online today. There were lines in it about Jaime being smuggled into Dorne by a ship captain.

No fucking clue where they're taking this show in S5 :/

transcript
OBARA - Admit defeat Tyene. Nym's mother taught her the whip before the knife and fork. Will it be war?

Woman Off Camera - Prince Doran will weep for your father but nothing else. We must avenge Oberyn ourselves.

OBARA - Without Doran we have no army to march against the Lannisters.

Woman Off Camera - We don't need an army to start a war. Queen Cersei loathes everyone and we are one of them.

OBARA - Now you may have a problem.

Woman Off Camera - What's that?

OBARA - A ship's captain came to me in Plankytown claiming to have information to sell. I paid. He told me he smuggled Jaime Lannister into Dorne. Now he paid.

Woman Off Camera - The Kingslayer did not go to Prince Doran?

OBARA - No, they rode him ashore in secret.

Woman Off Camera - Why? He did not know. You must chose Doran's way and peace or my way and war.

OBARA - When I was a child. Oberyn came to take me to court. I had never seen this man before yet he called himself my father. My mother wept and said you are too young and a girl. Oberyn tossed his spear at my feet and said girl or boy we fight our battles but the gods let us chose our weapons. My father pointed to the spear and to my mother's tears. I made my choice long ago.

Probably not in that direction.

I don't know much, but I know that auditions do not have to be relevant to the material. They're looking for manners and delivery, the actual lines themselves are not important.

"How is she going to look in this situation?" is what you're looking for. You don't have to write the exact situation to get it.

And if you're HBO, you know that audition reads are going to be leaked.

From a book readers perspective, I appreciate Jamie's stuff in books 4 and 5. From a television viewer perspective, I think they're going to need to add something to his story line.

So is it expected that Season 5 in essence will be the first half of AFFC and ADWD blended together and Season 6 will be the back half of the books? I guess they're probably leaving it open ended since they are waiting on GRRM to churn out book 6.

But why would Jaime do -that-?

I'm askin, actually. So Twyin dies... but I don't see Jaime running off to get vengeance for his father even if someone convinces him that Dorne was responsible for the assassination. If he's not willing to abandon the Kingsguard for the lands and title, I don't understand why he'd do it for anything less.

I mean I can totally see Jaime just saying "oh, FUCK this shit" and taking the black so he can go be awesome with the snow boys. But running around in political intrigues? Trying to avert wars with subterfuges? It's counter to who he is. He'll stab a king in the back to end a war and avert an atrocity. But c'mon. The man has standards.

I could see Jaime being the one to deliver Gregor's skull to Dorne, that's the only thing I can think of that would make sense.

He's got a lot of content left from the books though. Cersei begging him to be hand, him suggesting Tommen/Marg get married, his drama between Cersei / Kevan / Loras. There will be a lot of travel scenes as he's supposed to stop by Harrenhal, and then Lancel admits that he was banging Cersei before they arrive at Riverrun, then there's all the shit with Edmure / Brynden. We can end Jaime's S5 run by having him get a letter from Cersei which he burns, making us all fist-pump. S6 can have him handling the shit at Raventree between Blackwood and Bracken, then a long travel back to Riverrun, where he meets Brienne and... well, hopefully he doesn't get killed by LSH :/

I wonder why they had Sansa reveal herself in The Vale? In the books Littlefinger just manipulates the fuck out of everyone.

Yeah, I think this would be a good bet, though at this point, baring WoW coming out, alot of shit is going to be brand new. The Sansa storyline has already hit the end of the books and if Bran finds the children of the forest already, basically his storyline will have also.

If they're really only doing 7 seasons, I'd imagine all of the last two books will be covered in season 5, with parts of WoW (since they're apparently already start down this path). That means WoW for Season 6 and the last book for 7.

Well in the books that dude Royce does recognize her either way. The other two people knowing will probably become irrelevant when Littlefinger kills everyone.
