They'll introduce more characters, chuk, and flesh out that subplot. It's screen friendly and an audience pleaser to watch the tomboy turn into a cold killer.

You'll probably wind up getting more Arya than you get in the books. Tywin will be gone -- that's a fair chunk of screen time per episode that gets freed up. Littlefinger/Darth Sansa are consolidated. That's less time that's freed up, but it's still a gain. Tyrion is gonna be heading to merge with another plot line, there's more time freed up.

If you went down the list I wouldn't be surprised to learn that they can budget somewhere around 1-3 scenes per show to her depending on how heavily they want to work it and how quickly they want to do some other things.

I want to see Shaq fight the mountain. Shaq is bigger and faster. Only think holding Shaq back would be he's not very mean and would have trouble sticking someone.

was I the only one who was a little disappointed with the fight?
Certainly it was pretty good and had an awesome ending, but didn't seem to match the book in terms of Oberyn being in full control of the fight, darting in and slowing wearing the Mountain down with a thousand cuts. It felt more like he was lucky to get out of the way of a lot of the killer blows and even got thrown around a lot, but then got the lucky opening that allowed him to make a devastating stab.

Also would have liked it to be longer, to really draw out the taunting of Oberyn to get the Mountain to say Elia's name, but I can understand the need to save time in that respect.

You should probably read it again if you think he cut Gregor that many times. He cuts him a few times through chinks in his armor and then cuts his hamstring. The only real differences were that Oberyn didn't use the sun to blind him and Gregor didn't cut a kid in half.
