Arya is not going to grow any taller, and I doubt she will suddenly grow massive tits that they cannot hide. Sansa is not going to grow any taller as she is already a giant. You never see Bran at his full height and no one cares about Rickon. I don't see a problem with the child actors.

That article says he released the first book when he was 19. so Game of thrones came out in 1967?

They got super lucky with Arya. She's 17. Girls don't go through puberty that late. She's done developing. It's unlikely she grows any taller either.

GRRM pronounces the "Stan" in Stannis like it rhymes with dawn or fawn.

I dislike this. It sounds like Stan, as in Stan. He's as wrong about this as the dude who made gifs is about the pronunciation of that. Jiff my ass...

Why the fuck is Varrys leaving ? How the fuck are they going to do the cool reveal of his narrative that he was working for the fake dragon price, who is going to kill the new lion-in-chief ? They just fucked the Cercei storyline, they fucked Varrys storyline, they fucked the Connington storyline... This is the biggest departure from the books, and one that I do not understand at all. It makes no fucking sense. Fuck.

What? He disappears in the books too. We have no idea what he is up to, the next time we see him he sneaks back into King's Landing to kill the Grand Maester, then sends a fake message to Kevan Lannister as the Maester, who comes to the Maester's chambers and Varys murders him too. In between now and that? No idea where he is or what he was doing. There have been a lot of departures from the books, but this isn't one. Yet, at least, it is possible Varys never shows back up like he is supposed to.

Varys disappears at the end of book 3 just as it was shown in the TV show and doesn't reappear until the god damn epilogue of Book 5. Having him go with Tyrion on the boat is the only thing that makes sense, so they can keep the actor employed for season 5. It's the same as theon in seasons 3-4. They opted to show what he was doing instead of just having him disappear and come back several seasons later. If nothing else, they should be able to film at least a few scenes of him and his boy Illyrio hanging in pentos. One of him dropping tyrion off and explaining the situation to him, and sending him either to meet aegon or to meet dany (if they cut the aegon story completely).

and lol that cracked article, that is the most misinformed shit ever. all 4 of those "problems" are bullshit.

It's not even one of the three biggest departures in that specific episode=P
Those "departures" were set up long before that episode. I'm not sure how you can watch the TV show and not realize that the TV show was heading towards a different conclusion than the books. Well same conclusion really, but for different reasons.

Honestly think they would have did themselves and all the book purist's a favor had they simply changed Shae's name, like they did with Talisa. But of course Shae was introduced in Season 1, before they had the confidence to make changes like that. But it was hinted at, even in season 1 that they were going to Show us the Tysha story through Shae (it being TV and all, ie not a book) rather than harken back to the Tysha story as a last minute "fuck you" plot device like was done in the books.

Must have missed it. That seems nuts considering most commoners go absolutely bonkers over a single dragon.
If you equate a gold dragon to a million dollars, the US national debt is 17 billion gold dragons, so it's nearly a thousand times more than the Lannister debt. Better find some more gold mines

Shae wasn't very sympathetic in the book. When the Tyrion boat started sinking she jumped ship to the Tywin boat. She was very mercenary.

Talisa was an innocent girl that really loved Tyrion. Why Tywin needed killing is because of what he did to Talisa.

The show makes Tyrion look a little psychopathic.

The show Shae wasn't very sympathetic, imo.

Going back to the adaptation talk, despite my griping I think the show does a pretty good job staying with the source material, the tv show just arrives at the same plot points by taking different paths than what was in the book. Arya still leaves the Hound to die in the show, but it's not by the river and he's injured by Brienne instead of the inn fight (as an example). I think the biggest problem the show has is time constraints. If there was any series that needed more than 10 episodes a season, it's this one. I've seen plenty of comments from tv only viewers who question numerous scenes in the show simply because there is no context behind them because the show doesn't have time to go deeper into character development.

Nope.
Debt is 17 trillions, which is 1000 X 17 billions, Not a millions times. Your math is correct if your dragon =1000 Dollars or if your dragon is a million dollar the debt would be 17 millions dragons, not billions.

that was the season 2 finale, they were marching towards the Fist of the First Men (that big cliff there) which is where Lord Commander Mormont was chilling out with the rest of his little crow expedition, waiting for Halfhand and Jon Snow to return from scouting the Wildling army.
Season 4 explained that the reasons the Wildlings attack the wall, is to escape the white walkers

Honestly, do people either a) not pay attention b) have no memory?
