I watched that clip probably like 25 times. I think I was convinced it was actually something about 6 times, with 100% conviction. The other 19 times I thought "nah, just smoke". So basically I'm doubting, but it'd be cool if~

I am guessing this is it. It starts out small, gets bigger then fades out. I think it's just a cluster of color changing clouds like the rest of the area, but it gives it enough wiggle room to be a dragon due to how the shape changes and how fast.

so, varys sent jorah to give counsel to dany and report back to him, dany finds out and banishes him. varys then sends tyrion to dany to give counsel, tells dany that it was varys who sent him and she accepts his counsel. so what was the difference here? that tyrion was up front about it? i assume at some point varys will check in with tyrion to found out how things are going, if he tells him anything, would that not be the same thing jorah got banished for?

I don't know what that pokemon shit means!

Nerds.

Bets the Prince that was Promised is just some random fuck nobody that is introduced at the end of the books like goddamn Bard from The Hobbit and Jon is just a tavern wench bastard?

EDIT: God dammit Chuk Jorah didn't know Varys was conspiring against the crown and actually protecting Dany.

Even if it were the same thing, you already answered your own question, but it's not. Jorah went to spy on Viserys and Daenerys for Robert's little court with the promise that he would earn a pardon for the crime that kept him from returning to Westeros. IIRC, he actually did report back to them as a spy up until the dragons hatched. The fact that the pardon came from Robert specifically really pissed her off, since she blamed Robert for the butchery of her family.

Tyrion, on the other hand, was up front from the start and never actually betrayed her.

ok, bear with me here, if varys or one of his little sparrows meets up with tyrion and wants an update on her progress on when she is coming to westeros, tyrion gives up the info, is that a betrayal even if he tells dany after the fact?

Betrayal is a strong word. Jorah passed on word that she was pregnant, prompting Robert and the small council (lol cant believe i said little court in the last post) to send assassins after her. Passing word to a potential ally like Varys is just a normal occurrence in the work of a diplomat or spymaster, which is likely how Daenerys will employ Tyrion if she keeps him around.

and like Kreu mentioned, Jorah didn't know Varys was working against House Baratheon, Tyrion does.

alright, i was under the impression that dany was pissed that jorah was spying on her, despite who it was. she has never met varys, so she really doesnt know his motives even though we do (mostly).

Pretty sure they've already firmly established who was responsible for Jon Arryn's death.

Jon Arryn - Game of Thrones Wiki

I believe I can safely post that without breaking the spoiler rule. After the section where it details the stuff about him the way it went down in the show, it details how it went down in the books, but nothing in the book section spoils anything for the TV show.

Am I supposed to spoiler that? Apologies, I'm on my phone.
Well if you haven't read the books, and haven't researched them, then there is pretty much nothing you can post that should be spoilered. Anything HBO showed is fair game afaik.

Nothing specific from the books is acceptable to post here even under a spoiler tag. Follow outside links at your own risk.

That said, book/season 1 stuff is mostly safe at this point.

I get the feeling that Tyrion would tell Daenarys about any communication he has with Varys.

Tyrion is, "This is what I'm offering. Kill me or accept me I don't give a shit."

His line of, "The one thing that I have to live for now is to serve the person who decides if I live or die." was really poignant and poetic. Tyrion has a lot of extremely clever and well written lines, but they always seem 'wasted' on jokes.
