This is why I brought up Green Seers though. All the other shit could have a different explanation. But not that.
Dire wolves? Just big wolves.

The wall? Well, technically it's just a wall (ignore the magic)
Valyrian Steel? Just a different ore.
But Green Seers is just some straight up magic, and it's been there since book 1. I also questioned whether warging was a thing or not. Not going to be assed to look that one up.

And they retreated North of the wall. Magic has been weakened/abscent in Westeros for a long time.

I mean, true...you had some saying the red comet signifying the red blood of Eddard Stark and such as well and the war of the 5 kings started shortly after it whcih peopel said was the reason. Osha dismissed all of it though and said Dragons and shortly after the dragons were born in the east.
Which now saying that..why is "magic returning" to Westeros tied to the dragons returning when the Dragons are in the east (where magic is everywhere already) up until season 7? How are they related at all?
Also The Lord of Light isn't a new thing either, it's been around for quite some time.

Children of the forest have been running around South of the wall this whole time? Green seers have been common? Last I remember Bran and Jojen were the first two for quite some time south of the wall

Personally, the comet was just a happy coincidence with all the other shit that fed into it. Magic is returning to Westeros and whether it's because dragons, eastern immgrants like Melisandre or some Ice Zombies pushing shit south, it doesn't really matter. It was there before and now it's there more.
No. I believe there was a quick mention from Jenny Oldstones about her friend being a child of the forest south of the wall, but thats it.
