They won't get rid of Fish because she is, quite literally, the only character on the show who is in any danger of dying. No matter what happens to characters like Penguin, Gordon, Bullock, Bruce, Alfred, etc., we know they'll make it out alright because we know they live to become their future selves. For example, during last week's episode when Penguin was about to get crushed in the car, did anyone really think he would actually die? Not only is he a major character, but we know he lives to become the famous Batman villain. The entire scene was weak, and that's one of the biggest flaws (imo) with this show as a whole.its like there are 2 factions of this show, the people who are keeping the fish flags flying and the rest who have moved on. they have made Penguin the owner of his own club erasing everything fish had, he has a new enemy in don marone. this is the way it was intended. but then we have the other faction who just wont let fucking go. now we need to see how fish is a real badass we should care about. guys i dont fucking care about her. i never did. she is terrible. making her the boss of some pirate prison wont change that. they had no problem chucking barbara off this show and she is a comic book character, why they keep this bitch who is not part of the DCU i have no idea.
They can retcon what they choose but his father did have a doctorate degree. It could just be he takes over his dad's identity or something.wow that last episode went retarded.
making scarecrow a bit sympathetic due to crazy dad is a weird choice. Also we are supposed to believe he gets as doctorate somehow after this?
"dont you want to see more twisted villain sexual relationships"
That is a weird dude.
Although, I have wondered if Kringle will be a proto Echo/Query though. This show doesn't seem to be making too much effort to get real deepest lore though.
Nightclub has been a tease for the Iceburg Lounge all along.. but still not there yet.
I also can not understand "he'll get help from Ras for his fear toxin". dude really? Movie canon is his first rung. so strange.
I've gone over how that is already a very weak part of the entire show. We know Penguin becomes successful. We know Fish doesn't outlast the mob bosses. We know Nigma goes crazy and becomes a villain. We know Gordon doesn't last with Firefly chick and marries Barbara. It makes the entire show about the journey and not the destination but everything about the show is so weak I don't care about the journey. They won't get rid of Fish because she is, quite literally, the only character on the show who is in any danger of dying. So Fish is going to stay around just to add some drama to the show, otherwise we're basically reading a book that we've already read the final chapter of.
That's actually great casting in my opinion. I've always felt he's one of the stronger actors on Shameless, and he's already done unhinged on that show quite well. I'm still a little disappointed that they're going to get into the Joker this soon. This week's episode already felt like it was juggling too many storylines (Bruce going camping, Penguin setting up his club, Fish being Fish, Scarecrow, Jim's romance, etc.), and Joker is really the sort of character they should be approaching similarly to Penguin. If they're going to do Joker, he should be a character that we get to see develop and not someone that's dropped into a couple episodes like Scarecrow and Two-Face.Cameron Monaghan is the kid they tapped to play The Joker and from what I can tell he has some talent from his work on Shameless and other roles.
It's also sort of weird since they basically co-opted part of Batman's origin. Bruce Wayne chooses the bat as his symbol because it represents his biggest fear... and now Jonathan Crane chooses the scarecrow image because that'shisbiggest fear (because reasons).wow that last episode went retarded.

haha yeah.when fish was running the nightclub we saw her less. now that she is a nobody she is on for half the show every week. outside of her trainwreck storyline, this was a decent episode. that guy fucking nailed ledger's joker. the love triangle with gordon is somewhat lame though.
