This shit passed because the people of New York wanted it passed. If you don't live in New York, you have nothing to worry about. If you do, then you know who to bitch at and vote out at the next election. It's a state action, not a Federal overreach. How the fuck does something like that pass 43-18? So fucking glad I don't live in NY heh.
So yeah Soysauceonrice, this is why we get worked up about this shit. "No one is after a complete ban on guns" indeed.
Because people Bloomberg only want legislation in his state. Just how dense are you? This shit passed because the people of New York wanted it passed. If you don't live in New York, you have nothing to worry about. If you do, then you know who to bitch at and vote out at the next election. It's a state action, not a Federal overreach.
And by the way, I hate to sound like I'm defending this bill, because I'm not, but even THIS piece of shit isn't going to take all your guns. So no, no one is after a complete ban on guns. The over-the-top rhetoric is not needed.

Uh huh. So the reason why Bloomberg can't come get my guns where I live in Texas is because he doesn't want to.Because people Bloomberg only want legislation in his state. Just how dense are you?
Holy shit, can you stop being a fucking retard? The "people" did not want this shit passed. Quit being so fucking delusioned by your retarded political beliefs to fool yourself into thinking this isn't the start of a massively huge trend of fucking people out of their constitutional rights. Fuck you for saying we have nothing to worry about. You are completely wrong. This shit passed because the people of New York wanted it passed. Soysauaceretard saying that this is what the "people" wanted is fucking retarded. No people except the most extreme of retarded liberals wanted shit like this. Anybody who sees this as any sort of success is a mother fucking retard that should just off themselves. How the fuck does something like that pass 43-18? So fucking glad I don't live in NY heh.

That's not relevant to his point. Are you still butthurt from the first AWB ? Cry me a fucking river. It's been 10 years -- get over it.
Jesus, have you been paying attention? These bills are popping up in states all over. If you don't think the government wants to ban firearms you're delusional. If they could pass it right now they would. Luckily we have those that voice their outrage before it can happen. Right now the government is just playing the compromise game every time there's a new school shooting until gun owners will become regulated into the ground. This shit passed because the people of New York wanted it passed. Your comments are not based in reality, though. There is nothing barring armed guards in schools, just like the ones in whatever schools his daughters go to. Every school I went to from middle school on up had armed guards/police/whatever. What people are saying is that huge piles of guns aren't the answer, every kid with a concealed weapon isn't the answer. Not "guards in schools aren't the answer." And there is no federal gun ban.I think you missed the point/points of my comment. One, it's hypocritical to say guns in school isn't the answer and then send your children to one with 11 armed guards provided by the school. And two, if there's a gun ban, he strips the average citizen the right of personal protection afforded by them while our tax dollars pays for his.
Incoming rant.
This idea to ban guns is tyrannical and I'm surprised anyone would back it. It's another way big government steps in and says they know what's good for you and whether half the population agrees or not, doesn't matter. It really pisses me off when people sell there freedom for the idea of protection from the powers that be at the moment. It goes against what it means in this country to live free. And how long before the other guy is seated in the Whitehouse promising you protection at the cost of a little freedom, but now you're in the 50% that wants to tell the politician to go fuck himself? I hate smoking. I dream of a smoke free world. I'm one of the most militant non smokers you'd ever have the displeasure of meeting, but I'd be standing right next to the asshole with the cigarette in his mouth the moment some figurehead wanted to ban smoking because whether I agree with it or whether it causes cancer, it's that individuals right to stick tobacco in their mouth and light. Standing next to someone I disagree passionately with; that's the cost I pay for supporting the right to be free.
Yeah that isn't true at all. It wasn't until pretty recently that people got all militant about gun rights.I think that's probably true of any president for the lat 100 years or so. Maybe times/opinion have changed with this last one mess, but I doubt it.
So let me ask you: Do you understand the difference between a state and federal action ? Most of the people who are squealing like stuck pigs on this forum are complaining, whether they realize it or not, because they think the federal government is going to come and take their guns. But if a STATE passes legislation to further limit guns or to ban Assault weapon, then that has nothing to do with federal action. And yes, only the most extreme liberals would support that New York bill, but guess what,THERE ARE A TON OF EXTREME LIBERALS LIVING IN NEW YORKWhy is this so hard for you idiots to understand ? It is a state action. States have the right to regulate their own house. You getting all riled up because New York started banning certain guns is like you being upset that your neighbor banned guns in his home. What gives you the right to complain ? IT'S THEIR FUCKING HOUSE.Soysauaceretard saying that this is what the "people" wanted is fucking retarded. No people except the most extreme of retarded liberalswanted shit like this. Anybody who sees this as any sort of success is a mother fucking retard that should just off themselves.
