Nobody knows for sure on lever action guns that hold more than 7 rounds like most that shoot pistol rounds. That would kill off cowboy action shooting in NY.

This shit passed because the people of New York wanted it passed. If you don't live in New York, you have nothing to worry about. If you do, then you know who to bitch at and vote out at the next election. It's a state action, not a Federal overreach.
And by the way, I hate to sound like I'm defending this bill, because I'm not, but even THIS piece of shit isn't going to take all your guns. So no, no one is after a complete ban on guns. The over-the-top rhetoric is not needed.
It is a slippery slope though. That is what worries people the most and organizations like the NRA, once the changes to gun ownership begin ... at what point does it stop?

Jesus, have you been paying attention? These bills are popping up in states all over. If you don't think the government wants to ban firearms you're delusional. If they could pass it right now they would. Luckily we have those that voice their outrage before it can happen. Right now the government is just playing the compromise game every time there's a new school shooting until gun owners will become regulated into the ground.

Your comments are not based in reality, though. There is nothing barring armed guards in schools, just like the ones in whatever schools his daughters go to. Every school I went to from middle school on up had armed guards/police/whatever. What people are saying is that huge piles of guns aren't the answer, every kid with a concealed weapon isn't the answer. Not "guards in schools aren't the answer." And there is no federal gun ban.
Your rant is just tilting at windmills. I've done it before too, but damn. No one is talking about gun bans except for the left wing fringe. And you are letting them rile you up. For what? If NY wants to ban guns, let them, it will most likely be rules unconstitutional and we'll all move on. But nothing federal is going to happen, it is fantasy.

Yeah that isn't true at all. It wasn't until pretty recently that people got all militant about gun rights.
The gun control provisions that have been floated by the administration are pretty common sense. If he had put that out in his campaign, I doubt it would have cost him many if any votes.
So let me ask you: Do you understand the difference between a state and federal action ? Most of the people who are squealing like stuck pigs on this forum are complaining, whether they realize it or not, because they think the federal government is going to come and take their guns. But if a STATE passes legislation to further limit guns or to ban Assault weapon, then that has nothing to do with federal action. And yes, only the most extreme liberals would support that New York bill, but guess what,THERE ARE A TON OF EXTREME LIBERALS LIVING IN NEW YORKWhy is this so hard for you idiots to understand ? It is a state action. States have the right to regulate their own house. You getting all riled up because New York started banning certain guns is like you being upset that your neighbor banned guns in his home. What gives you the right to complain ? IT'S THEIR FUCKING HOUSE.
If you live in New York, you have the right to be upset. But then you should be upset with your family, your friends, your co-workers, and your neighbors for voting those gun nuts into power and try to kick them out of office the next time you have a chance.
