Jesus, have you been paying attention? These bills are popping up in states all over. If you don't think the government wants to ban firearms you're delusional. If they could pass it right now they would. Luckily we have those that voice their outrage before it can happen. Right now the government is just playing the compromise game every time there's a new school shooting until gun owners will become regulated into the ground.
Again, explain to me what GOVERNMENT you are talking about. You cannot point to individual STATE governments as proof that "THE GOVERNMENT" is coming to take your guns. State governments are far more representative of the will of the people than are the Federal Government. If New York and California began contemplating more gun bans, it's because the extreme liberals that live in New York and California have voted in other extreme liberals that want to ban guns. This has dick and shit to do with the federal government.

So fucking what? You act like we shouldn't care that abunch of gun owners are getting screwed over in NY? Just because I don't live somewhere, doesn't mean I can't get upset about it.

When I drove up to NY a few years ago, I went shooting with a old navy buddy of mine. Now the guns we shot are illegal and he has to figure what to do with them. So fuck you for saying I shouldn't care.

Tell your friend I'm sorry, but aside from a constitutional challenge to the courts or an election that votes in pro-gun legislatures, your friend is shit out of luck. That's the price he pays for living in an extremely liberal state -- his neighbors want to legislate away his guns. I'm a moderate Buddhist currently living in west Texas, I get screwed over all the time; I can sympathize with your friend.

Care all you want, but it is a state matter. If you don't like their laws, don't live there. If you live there, work to change it or wait until the SC inevitably rules on it. But all the herp derp is a bit much.

First they came for the communists,
and I didn't speak out because I wasn't a communist.

Then they came for the socialists,
and I didn't speak out because I wasn't a socialist.

Then they came for the trade unionists,
and I didn't speak out because I wasn't a trade unionist.

Then they came for the gun owners,
and we shot them all.

This shit passed because the people of New York wanted it passed. If you don't live in New York, you have nothing to worry about. If you do, then you know who to bitch at and vote out at the next election. It's a state action, not a Federal overreach.
lol. Last time I said something like this, it turned into how "the people" want lots of things that shouldn't be passed. Can't wait to see the responses to this.

In other news, Chaos is suddenly for states rights. Cute how that works.

So let me ask you: Do you understand the difference between a state and federal action ? Most of the people who are squealing like stuck pigs on this forum are complaining, whether they realize it or not, because they think the federal government is going to come and take their guns. But if a STATE passes legislation to further limit guns or to ban Assault weapon, then that has nothing to do with federal action. And yes, only the most extreme liberals would support that New York bill, but guess what,THERE ARE A TON OF EXTREME LIBERALS LIVING IN NEW YORKWhy is this so hard for you idiots to understand ? It is a state action. States have the right to regulate their own house. You getting all riled up because New York started banning certain guns is like you being upset that your neighbor banned guns in his home. What gives you the right to complain ? IT'S THEIR FUCKING HOUSE.

If you live in New York, you have the right to be upset. But then you should be upset with your family, your friends, your co-workers, and your neighbors for voting those gun nuts into power and try to kick them out of office the next time you have a chance.
Fucking retard.

States' rights. I love when I get to champion states' rights.

I live in NY and I'm fine with the law (tentatively).

Cute how what works? How nothing is absolute? I've always been "for" states rights, bro. As much as I am "for" anything. It doesn't rule every situation, but in this one I don't see why I should be frothing at the mouth because NY decided to pass a law for NYers.

So much ignorance about guns in New York. I guess they need to have their boogyman and now that they've made all these weapons illegal they will be safe now.

Give it a few years and we will have more statistics to point to that show banning guns doesn't stop people from getting shot.

The fact that you can't comprehend the world outside from your bubble is not my problem. "THE LIBERALS" have to live somewhere, and for the most part they cluster in New York and California. New York was the birthplace of Occupy Wall-street, after all. How can you be surprised by this ?
I know right, it's silly to think New York might have wilderness or hunting areas. The entire state is just one big city.

This is an issue of a State having rights to do what they want, but it isn't the traditional STATES RIGHTS issue like you think it is. When people talk about "States Rights !" they usually are debating whether or not the will of the STATES or the will of the FEDS should win out when both conflict. I don't see the conflict here.

What does the wilderness or hunters have to do with what i said ? For every 1 hunter in NY, there is 10 cardigan wearing, macchiato drinking, hippy loving New Yorker.
I'm pointing out the irony in your statement. The people of new york live in this bubble where there isn't a possible reason to own these newly banned weapons.

Nobody is against regulating guns, they are against banning guns because people living in a city are ignorant of gun uses and can't imagine there being anything more than the city they live in.
