Get busted holding a quarter ounce of marijuana? YOUR LIFE MEANS NOTHING.

Derp.
Most of them are gang affiliated, settle down

The pattern is a familiar one in Chicago, where most violent crime happens in impoverished, mostly black neighborhoods on the South and West sides. Annual Chicago police statistics show a majority of both homicide victims and offenders are young black men with criminal records. With one exception, African-Americans have made up more than 70 percent of homicide victims in Chicago every year for the last two decades.

The Tribune reported Monday that 143 of the homicide victims in the first half of the year were listed as being at least affiliated with a street gang. The data obtained by the paper represent the Police Department's preliminary assessment of crimes and are subject to revision as investigations progress.

A deeper review of the numbers shows males ages 15 to 35 made up nearly three-quarters of African-American homicide victims. Police data showed that 133 of those 145 victims had arrest histories.

Of the 44 Hispanic victims, 27 were males ages 15 to 35 and had arrest histories, according to the data. Three of the 11 white victims were males in that age range with arrest histories.

As stress escalates in neighborhoods that are as dangerous as foreign war zones, African-American political leaders are expressing frustration with the policing strategies of police Superintendent Garry McCarthy and Mayor Rahm Emanuel as well as the systemic problems in their communities

So the Dianne Feinstein bill, some of the retardation:

1) Mini-14 tactical is banned but no other mini-14's are covered
2) Barrett m82a1 is banned even though it is a bolt action
3) A bunch of 22lr guns are banned directly, but 10/22 is fine.
4) M1A isn't covered

So assume this ban happens. Anyone wanting an "assault rifle" would just buy the mini-14 or other variants. It is really blatantly obvious that this list has nothing to do with actually saving lives. I mean, the barret m82a1? Has anyone ever been killed in a crime with it?

Its $8,000 to buy a Barrett M82. It just looks scary because of the 5 round mag and the muzzle brake. The number of people who own them in United States is miniscule and they are mostly competitive shooters, pros or MIL/LE.

Feinstein is a moron.

All prominent anti gun politicians are nothing more than holier than thou pieces of shit(hello feinstein having a ccw). You are are ignorant at best and a god damn idiot at worst if you think people like Feinstein or Bloomberg are going after guns for with a rational mind(ignoring the mountain of evidence showing gun control is a failure).

Shit man, I'd love to buy one but could never justify the money. Saw some generics or like $2500 or something. But supposedly not even fun to shoot.

Ignoring the law as a mayor is bad and all, but fuck it's a helicopter in NYC. Shit should be open 24/7.

If you check wikipedia there is know known crime in the entire US where any of the Barret .50cal rifles have been used. I think she threw them in because of this stupid law.

There won't be any ban that passes.

The reason the Feinstein list of banned guns looks the way it does is because literally her staff that knows nothing about firearms sits down with one years edition of Gun Digest or other catalog and goes thru and picks out guns that look "scary and evil". If a gun wasn't made that year or wasn't imported that year tough shit if you don't get an exclusion even tho it doesn't meet any requirements of the bill.

Jesus Christ.. Give up on this 2nd amendment bullshit ok? If there is going to be any improvement it will have to start with people realizing that the Constitution was not handed down by God. You can't just say "it violates the 2nd amendment mmkayy" and blindly not even to question it one bit, or the context in which it was drafted.. It isn't inviolate-- it was written by human beings in a time before electricity when loading your rifle involved a flask of gunpowder and a plunger. YES, there are principles there that are timeless, like the 1st amendment, and YES the basic principle of the 2nd amendment holds true, but are you going to tell me that those that drafted the constitution even imagined the ability to fire twelve rounds from a handgun in under ten seconds? Or armor piercing ammo? Or freaking Assault Rifles??? I'm not even going to go into the whole concept of how a "militia" doesn't really fit in with 21st century USA.

This fruitless bullshit of trying to interpret what the forefathers truly meant with the 2nd amendment is fucking comical. Besides purely academic interest, why does it freaking matter?? They drafted something that made sense in the 18th century that unfortunately unlike some of the other amendments is not timeless, it's something tied to technology which is vastly more advanced than when the document was written. The 2nd amendment needs to be amended to take into account the reality that is the present time..
Actually, yes you can. That's the entire point of our Constitution you dumb fuck. The government can't just say "Ahhh gosh, this no longer applies anymore! Blacks, back to slavery!" You can't claim the First Amendment is any more timeless than the Second. The Second Amendment, above all others, IS THE POINT!

Want to oppress people with outrageous taxes? Think twice, they own guns!
Want to throw black people back into chains? Think twice, they own guns!
Want to restrict people from publishing words that go against the views of those in power? Think twice, they own guns!
Want to make a law that says the President gets first fuck rights to a woman on her wedding night? Think twice motherfucker, they got the guns!

A free people's ability and willingness to bring violence to those in power when they overstep their bounds is THE point. The whole fucking point. Nothing else in the Constitution, nor city, state or federal law, matters one shit of a bit without guns.

Except that what he's proposing is an amendment to our Constitution you dumb fuck. He's just saying that the appeal to the current configuration of the law as a justification for that configuration is fucking meaningless (a point it seems like you somehow simultaneously miss AND grasp given that you then proceed to give a defense of the second amendment without appealing to its currently being the law).

Ohh believe me my heart weeps for those suffering hipsters, but nothing better shows the mentality of Bloomberg and everyone else like him than that situation. His reponse to the reporter at the end is fucking priceless "I have lots going on" like transporting your wife/gf and your dogs. Do as I say not as I do, thats what these people are about.

Under the strict letter of the law in the Feinstein bill introduced a large number of Glock handguns would be banned because of the part where it says any semi auto handgun that has a full auto model available to military/police would also be banned.

Well at this point I have to just assume that you're too incompetent to actually argue whatever "logic" is bouncing around in that head of yours.
Oh. "Sorry." Honestly nothing you write is worthy of any sort of thoughtful reply. I could care less what someone likes you think, and I could honestly care even less to spend the 2-3 minutes required to compose some sort of a message to you addressing your "points." Basically I don't give a shit what you think, which is why your PM to me was so hilarious.

What I think is that you're butthurt but too dumb to actually defend what you think.
