Hey now, I may be a fucktard, but evenIam not retarded enough to waste time replying to a dumbshit like Mickey that thinks shitting is racist because poop is brown!

Oh, you are a conspiracy theory nut. Got it. Da dark shadowy masters are controlling everything. *glances around nervously*

As for propaganda, I linked to an article from Huffingtonpost. Im sure they are definitely holding water for the NRA, that silly rightwing website!
Oh, you didn't know that all NRA leaders were free masons and own crystal skulls that give them power over the president? The research is out there, just ride the illuminati to Nibiru and you can read the ancientbMayan texts that spell it all out. It's all on YouTube!

I dont even get this... NRA getting funding from the gun industry? And this is screwing over and not supporting individual gun owners? Gun owners LIKE the gun industry. Yes, it is big business, but i have never seen another industry that is more involved with thier customer base. This is not a bad thing.

Yes the NRA has thier own agenda sometimes, Yes they are out to make money, And yes gun owners do not agree with everything that they do. But to say that dont care about individual owners is just ludicrous.

B. My point was that going to a firing range to shoot your machine gun = responsible, going upto the mountains to shoot down trees, though fun = irresponsible.
Shooting down trees is a quick way to get your ass kicked by anyone I've been shooting with.

Duppin's revelation that the NRA is funded by the gun industry is hilarious. I think there'd be more of a exposition if the NRA supported certain gun restrictions that favored certain gun manufacturers but not others.

I was assuming that he didn't literally mean like...chopping down trees with bullets, but more like just unloading the machine gun out in the middle of nowhere. Thatwouldbe irresponsible, but not for gun reasons.

I could see that being a bit of a conflict of interest when it came to stuff like gun locks, but I think the reality is that most gun ownersalsodon't want that shit to be mandatory either.

yeah. I wonder if Donut thinks that people like to perform target practice exclusively on trees. Like land owners want nothing more than to go to their own backyard and ruin their property.

B. My point was that going to a firing range to shoot your machine gun = responsible, going upto the mountains to shoot down trees, though fun = irresponsible. There is a time and place for everything, machine guns do not have a place in civilian life other then the firing range. Even the military has an armory for equipment like that, have done my share of guard duty to know who takes what home and what stays at the armory.
1. We are not talking about machine guns, those are already heavily regulated, we are talking about semi-automatic rifles. Also, if someone owns the land and wants to go shoot down one of his/her own trees, that is their right to do so. I may or may not agree with it, but I agree with the right to manage your own land.

I heard a woman on NPR yesterday talking about how poor women don't have the right to abortions if the government won't pay for them. I had a good laugh when I thought about how she would probably feel about applying this logic to the second amendment.

Free guns for the poor!

Probably a good idea, actually.

I shot down one of my own trees once. It took like 100 rounds each from an AR-15 and an M1A to take down a 6" diameter pine tree. It wasn't as fun as you might think.

Yeah, you guys are right. The fact that the NRA receives a big chunk of money from the largest online retailer of ammo and high-capacity magazines in the world couldn't possibly be having any effect on their absolute opposition to any magazine size restrictions.

What WAS I thinking.

And this is supposed to upset gun owners? I dont even understand your argument. The "National Rifle Association" receives funding from companies that design/sell rifles and magazines for rifles? Shocking!!!

I'm not terribly surprised that you can't follow the line of reasoning. Hint: start with the fact that there are some reasonable gun owners who are willing to accept magazine size restrictions.
