I contacted the Fufillers for Amazon directly, and that's where i found Paulstv

Paul's TV - Plasma & LED TVs, Home Theater, Speakers, Washers, Dryers, Blenders, and More

These guys are the best, not only do they match all prices. They will still honor prices from last black friday/cyber monday, and will sell you sets that have never let there wharehouse as an open box even though its never been opened.
This is important because some manufacturers will not let vendors list tvs under there set prices.Samsung does this for instance.

My 65 inch f8000 was listed at 2900, and they sold it to me for 2150 with no sales tax, and free white gloves shipping. Came in perfect, no panel issues whatsoever, and I've seen the horror stories on AVS.
yep, another good option. What kind of warranty do they sell btw? I looked at them too. I ended up going with BB b/c it was just easier and I didn't want a squaretrade type warranty..

Same warranty as frys/best buy. 3 years for 239, and will replace the TV with a newer TV if they can no longer replace it.

And will put a loaner TV in while you wait for your repairs.

Can't beat that. People skimp on the warranty and it can come back and get you big time!

My first HDTV was a Samsung plasma (4 years ago) it had image retention (not burn in) meaning it would go away after a while. Any major gaming session I played with a UI would stick on the TV for a day or 2. I found it super annoying and vowed to never buy a plasma again for that reason. I also must confessed its not unusuall for me to fall asleep playing or with the Channel guide up making the potential for IR that much more.

Happy with my LCD so far !

Panasonic claims its new 4K TVs offer plasma-like picture quality | The Verge

From what I have read, it seems like the manufacturers don't really see OLED as being an affordable option any time soon. Most are pushing forward with 4K pretty agressively, but OLED is a bit of an afterthought at this point, it isn't being emphasized in very many lineups.

That's a really good price, and they are claiming the 70 inch is 2500.

I wonder when the new red ray players will come out, and at what price point.

that tv was my BEDROOM tv...

my Living room TV is an LG 60" 1080p plasma with definitive technology speakers in 5.1 setup via a harmon kardon 2650 av receiver....

my bedroom now is a 42in led lcd by vizio (wife made me cheap out) with 5.1 sound via a yamaha av receiver (older one, only has one hdmi input/output).

Pfft, my bathroom TV is bigger than that, peasant!

Kidding, in case you couldn't guess. Like most of the past few pages of this thread have already stated, I'd check to see if you can get a good deal on a Panasonic plasma before they are gone forever. I'm assuming you aren't worried about any input lag for video games (I don't notice any lag myself, but it has been brought up) in a bedroom TV, and you probably watch a lot in low/controlled light situations, so there should be no issue with glare.

Although now that I think about it, I have no idea what the smallest size available is. I know they have a 50", but that might be bigger than you want in your bedroom, so perhaps my suggestion is dumb.

I picked up a cheap ass 39" for the bedroom from Best Buy this past summer. I wasnt even in the market for one but I was walking around the store and noticed this LED TV for like $300 so I snatched it up. And since we still that the old tube TV at 480p, I Could not be happier. It fits perfectly between out closet and bathroom doors in our master bedroom. I mean like perfect, it could not be any better. And at that price im sure it not the best or whatever, but who gives a shit? Its a bedroom TV that lulls us to sleep. And if it breaks down in a year or two, Ill get another. The sound is even decent from this thing.

For xmas this year I got my son a 40" no name LED LCD for $250 delivered form Amazon. LOl, those are like throw away prices. I see a little back light bleed through when first powered on, but other than that the picture is perfect. The picture even looks better than the 39" that I paid $300 for. And again, if it breaks down in a few years, Ill just get another. Shit is so cheap these days.

Yeah, 32" LCDs are so cheap now that they are literally impulse purchases. If I had a place to hang it and some sort of input for it, I might actually buy one for my bathroom.

TVs are getting stupid cheap, and it's only going to keep going that direction. Walmart has had 47" 120hz Vizio refurb LEDs in stock off and on for like $320 this holiday season, I'm tempted to snag one for our bedroom.

Whats funny is we have like 2 27" tube TVs still and one monster 40" in the basement that I want to get rid of. That 40" Mitsubishi weighs like 200lbs, I swear. But the wife says no. "Someone will want it" LOL, like anyone wants a shitty 27" tube tv anymore. Even if I tried to donate it to salvation army they would laugh at me, lol. So im gona sneak that shit into the garbage tonite.

Yeah, I had an old 32" CRT mounted from the ceiling in my bedroom. Took 5 guys to get the fucking thing down, and it was touch and go on whether it got dropped. Took it to a recycling depot, no one wanted that shit.
