I'm sorry to hear it, OB. Grief is grief.

The time comes for everyone. Take some comfort in the fact that she had 89 years. That's a lot of years, man. That's more than either one of us are going to have.

Sorry to hear the news OB.

Guys I don't really care what the ratio of helpfulness is it worked and I'm not miserable anymore. Good enough for me.

Lol that is very true. I do find myself thinking OK what's the most efficient way of fixing this shit. Then you get desperate and just try to faceroll shit. :p

So I woke this morning and my shirt and part of my shorts are soaked in drainage. Already spoke to my doc and they feel it's just the way I have the tube placed. Which does sound about right when I think about it. The other day I taped it in a different direction and had noticed some spotting. So I retaped it the way it hangs and will keep an eye on it.
It doesn't hurt, smell bad, or look nasty so it's not an infection at the moment. That is at least a relief. I just really fucking hate drains. They're always a pain in the ass.

Well, look at it this way. Even IF 90% of it was just a coldpack, you're still getting 110% by adding witch hazel!

THAT'S MORE THAN ONE HUNDRED PERCENT.

So it's like Bards overhaste in Eq? That was a thing right? Lol

And this sucks I'm pretty sure I need a new drain. After 2 hours my shirt has a big wet spot and no new collection in the bulb. Trying to get ahold of my doc otherwise I'm just going to head to the ER. No pain or anything but this is fucking disgusting and can't possibly do anything but get worst.

I've lost in order of importance to me my brother in 2005, my uncle in 2002, my great grandmother in 1993, my nephew in 2005 a month after his father/my brother, one of my aunts in 2010 and numerous friends before this service today.
All of the previous services were long, strung out emotional coasters of shit that took place over multiple days.
Today's service as my grandmother wanted we pulled up, casket was already over grave. A poem was read, words were said, people shook hands and reflected back on things, asked how each other was doing. much concern from many people about me who had heard of what I went through only months back but never contacted me. She was lowered down, casket case lowered down, 2 guys dumped dirt filled in grave, we threw on flowers and everyone got in their cars and left.

Total service-90 minutes start to finish. Done. Back to our lives.
I must say it was best for everyone and the most pleasant disaster I have been apart of. All of family declared this is how it will be done from now on.

Yeah I don't do the 3-7 days of bull shit for funerals. When my wife's father passed we sat in the hospital room with him for a couple of hours after death (which was awkward as fuck for me at the time), reminisced, cried and laughed etc. Then the next time we saw him was in the urn because her mom decided to cremate him. They later had a ceremony for him 6 months later in his home country where they buried the ashes in a plot they had bought earlier in life. I miss the ornery, stubborn fucker, he was a good man.

When my brother in law's wife passed away they held this week long prep for her funeral. Poor thing looked like a bloated mess after being held up that long. People were saying not to even go up to the casket she looked so bad. After hearing 100+ people you don't know or haven't seen in years come up to you to say "sorry for your loss" or "let me know if I can do anything for you" I think the meaning of the whole thing is completely lost. Maybe some people need all that to grieve properly but I certainly don't. Its brutal enough losing people close to you without torturing yourself with all that over a week or more.

My mother's service was like that. Quick but personal without being unnecessarily long and painful. It was nice. We had an awesome cookout after it. She would have approved.

And I'm home from the ER. Ct scan showed no signs of a clog or obstruction, there was minor inflammation which is duh, and it actually started draining again. There was a new small clump in the bulb so maybe that was slowing things down. I could definitely see fluid move.ent through the tube before I left.
So I'll keep an eye on things over the weekend. Just watch for signs of infection then follow up with my doc.
Not ideal but I am relieve that at least for now it's OK and seemingly draining again. Fingers crossed like a motherfucker.

Now I'm gonna go get high as fuck. BTW I love that my phone autocorrects motherfucker no problem. Like a boss.

So I had no new drainage on my clothing or even the dressing. PHEW! Hopefully crisis averted! I shouldn't need this too much longer. Maybe another week or so. I fucking hope. Need this damn thing out!!!

When my boil popped I kept having to rebandage it every couple of hours. Got drunk for my birthday and stopped feeling it, when I stood up hours later my jeans were entirely soaked through and I ruined a chair.

Woke up this morning and started feeling pain in my right side. Within 1.5 hours pain was 8/10 so I drove myself to emergency room.

Kidney stone! Freaking hospital made me wait 20 minutes in the lobby and another 30 minutes in the room before they gave me something for the pain. I was in agony 10/10 by the time they gave me something...ended up getting morphine which did the trick. An hour later a cat scan, hour after that kidney stone confirmed. 15 Oxy's and im chilling at home now feeling fine...I think I just passed the damn thing.

That was me a month ago! Excruciating isn't it?

I was puking in the flowers outside and almost passed out in their arms.

And now my back is broken out with hives. I bet it's the damn oxy. They had to switch me off dilaudid to fentanyl due to an itch problems.
And the drain is fine most of the time but it does leak periodically. It seems positional but I can't figure out what position is causing the problems. It leaks super slow so it's impossible for me to see exactly when it's leaking.

Yup. It helps but knocks me out usually which is fine at night but during the day it's rough. I was sleeping at the time but my doctor's office called and they're overnighting another med for me. They didn't say what in the message so I'll find out tomorrow.
