Fissures are extremely painful. When I had mine, I had to bite down on a towel during my initial BM push. They can also spasm, which will drive you mad because your asshole will be throbbing in pain and you can't do anything about it. If you think that's what it is, get a prescription for Rectiv - it relaxes your sphincter so the fissure can heal. It causes incredibly strong headaches if you use too much though because it has nitroglycerin in it.

it's a real brown eye opening experience, innit.

There's still a social stigma with talking about butt problems.

Preparation H was the number one shoplifted item for decades because of that.

Saw my oncologist today for a 6 month checkup. Got a CT scheduled but everything seems fine, routine checkups.

Showed him the blood pic and told him about some mild discomfort in my spleen area and he got me a referral to GI because he thinks it's my colon having pain so that means a third colonoscopy before forty.

I forgot to add baby wipes to your prescription.

No more dry, asshole-ripping TP for you.

They all say they are septic safe but in reality they aren't, or at least that's what I've been told by many, many people.

I still use them

yeah i've heard that from some people. never had an issue myself, but we don't have our own septic tank (city water).

i think some of the people that have septic problems probably go overboard using them. probably don't want to be flushing any more than like 5 of those things a day. and more than two per flush can easily lead to needing to plunge...

Gonna have to designate a trash bin for shitty baby wipes used by adults.

Switching from or adding in addition to standard toilet paper with wet wipes is a life changing decision for the better. I tend to pat dry with some standard TP when I'm done. I can't stand a wet asshole.

They had this at the hotels I stayed at in Manila.

Not sure if I was supposed to blast the shit out of my asscrack with it, but I did it anyway.

And it was amazing.

I've posted this a few times and been laughed at, but this is honestly the BEST purchase I have ever made. Like it isn't even close. You'll never have ass irritation ever again. The phillipino/thai manual model depicted above works fine, but nothing beats Japanese automation and a warm seat.

So yesterday I had my appointment with my butt doc. Next surgery will be in February to install a couple fistula plugs. She said recovery should be quicker/easy than this last surgery and no external stuff sticking out. The plugs have a 60-70% chance of working. She's opting not to go in and cut shit out because there is muscle involved and I need all that I can get. Hopefully that'll be that after the surgery.

I seem to remember in my A&P learnings, the guy teaching it said that your anus muscles create almost the most dexterous and nimble part of your body, second only to your hands. That's the way he put it anyway. If I had to guess, that is probably the function your surgeon doesn't want to mess with. (sorry if you already knew that)

Man the metformin and glimepiride have been fucking with me lately. Couple days of watery diarrhea and now my appetite is almost non existent. Foods I loved if I even think of I feel nauseous. Hopefully it will pass.

So I'm down to having a very aggressive (almost at this rate unheard of) progressive MS or I got of all things an invasive fungal infection. I kind of fit the "at risk" for that so when the blood work comes back (it takes time apparently) I'll know.

diabetic
In a state of supressed immune system
Several courses of anti biotics (I had two in short order because they thought I had an inner ear infection)
Followed by corticosteroids - yes
Shortly after the infusion of steroids I had thrush - white crap and canker sores all over the mouth

They gave me another course of antibiotics sometime this year and it actually got worse instead of better.

We'll see. Neither one really explains it all. Fungal infections are kind of flavor of the month but according to the CDC I meet the at risk for them for the invasive variety.

In other news I read this week they have had several studies where they take the blood of type 1 diabetics and separate the Tcells and grow more (no idea how) and reinject it. Those in the study who had been type 1 for up to 40+ years were able to do away with insulin injections for up to a year.

When you use antibiotics and steroids, your immune system goes down to crapper. This is why those with HIV get infections that are unheard of in normally healthy people. Hope you get better, Borzak.
