Some of the goldens are really pretty. I'm playing Priest with a golden Thoughtsteal, and everything it takes is the gold version. Novice Engineer and Arcanite Reaper are my two favorites so far.
Yeah Mirror Entity is the best. The actual card is great (a mirror image that is slightly transparent fades all the way through the entire card) yet alone copying goldens.

I played a rogue in back to back games. I won the first. Second game it came down to one final turn. It was simple, if I cast the Flamestrike in my hand, I won the game. If I didn't cast it, I lost. So what do I do? Well obviously I cast the Archmage Antonidas that was glitched behind the flamestrike and I couldn't even see... I was not happy.

Yea that shit is rage-o-meter to the max. Seems like it's getting way more frequent too.

My luck lately. wow. I'm doing a Druid draft right now with Ragnoros, Illidan and Onyxia. as well as with a Big Game Hunter and an Ancient of War and a Sea Giant, 2 Demolishers, Ravenholdt Assassin, 3 Starfalls, and 2 Swipes.

Since I've been rank 9, the player pool has shrunk dramatically. I've been against people ranging from rank 10 to rank 5; sometimes playing the same person three times in a row. Could be because it's a Sunday but either way, maybe waiting a while for more players to filter up might be a decent idea before trying ranked some more.

Feels good stomping freeze mages with my druid deck. Just killed a mage by naturalizing one of my own minions. I actually lost a game before that though to a hunter deck that was loaded down with all the neutral healing minions. I just didn't expect that from a hunter at all and was kind of ignoring his stuff burning him down. Got him to 2 life left, then next few turns in a row he just kept healing every round from minions, and I lost as a result. It was strange.

Are you in the US? If so, I can't imagine there being many people online in general at 4AM.

I've been playing on American servers while being in England (5-8 hours ahead) so I've been playing around 2-8am, but haven't had any issue finding evenly matched games myself. Haven't played much ranked lately though.

I just lost on my 13th game (10-2) because I thought silencing Ragnoros would be a good idea against a Druid, who then spammed taunt and proceeded to own me. I shoulda just rolled with the dice and let him stay, but last time I did that Ragnoros hit me 4-5 turns in a row despite there being 4+ minions out every turn. Sucks I shoulda got 12 with the deck. Lesson learned. Measly 185 gold for 10 wins. nice Blizzard.

Yep. Mage's deck was empty and he had 4 cards in hand, nothing on board. My life was still in the 20s (and they already used their Alexstraza to self heal), so it was very unlikely for me to lose the next turn anyway, but causing him a little extra fatigue to win a round early was more stylish! Payback for them delaying the game so long with all the freeze spells.

Good. Fuck dem mages. I just went 10-3 on a mage while playing badly, but because I had 2 Cone of Cold, 2 Frost Nova, 2 Water Elemental, 1 Blizzard and 2 Giants I was able to coast through. I never have such an easy time getting 7+ wins as I do when playing Mage. And I never lose more surprisingly and undeserved than when I play against a Mage whom Pyros my face.

Shaman and Priest really need some kind of burst healing option. Holy Fire isn't sufficient. I started running two Far Seers in both my Shaman and Priest decks and the difference was pretty big vs Mages. It isn't quite enough to counter burn even with both in hand, but it is better.

In arena I tend to draft Darkscale Naga and sometimes the priestess too, they're not super cost efficient(especially the priestess) but the healing can definitely make a big difference. Far Seer is definitely better than most people think though, 3 for 3/3 isn't bad to start with, and 3heal is pretty nice especially when you can use it to heal a minion if it's more relevant(like against other decks) and you can easy panda bounce it back and reheal since it's low cost.

^^ I love screenshots like that. More people should post em.

Anyone ever had to play Wack A' Mole when your opponent summons a minion that flies all over the board and out of sight ? Fun times. I just almost hit the timer trying to Shadow Bolt a flying 10/1 Windfury.

@TheMaster I totally agree, having a couple healing minions is really making the difference for the classes that don't have Armor/Spell Healing. Farseer is a lot better than people think. And Venture Co. Mercenary is way better than people think it is, and people already think it's pretty damn good. Venture Co Mercenary is winning me almost half my games in drafts where I get 1-2+. Only problem is when it gets chain frozen or Aldor Peacekeeper'd and left alive haha. Otherwise it's godly, and it fucks with people because they can't decide what to do. It almost always trades way up or goes 2 or even 3:1. I'll take a Venture Co over a Shattered Sun or a Yeti or a million other commons that people usually pick first.

What do you guys think about this pick? I am insanely stumped. On one side I am a Druid and mostly have high cost cards atm so Twilight would have high value, but I also plan to pick up quite a few spells and already have a Swipe. Azure Drake gives instant value no matter what, and Ancient Mage almost always does as well, but Drake can be a massive clencher, specially with a Druid that can Innervate it out and still end up with high health.

Venture co is almost a surefire way to lose against a paladin if you don't bait a bunch of shit first, Aldor peacekeeper or humility on it screws you completely since you now have a really shitty minion that prevents you from playing the rest of your shit. Mages can also be bad if you play it too early, if it stays frozen for 2-3turns and eventually gets pinged, it's a huge waste(granted playing more shit probably wouldn't have helped since they'd be frozen too but who knows). Against other classes though I tend to play it turn 5 regardless of what else I have(unless I absolutely need silence/taunt etc obviously), and force the opponent to deal with it asap.

Also wtf EU battle.net down for over 24h, is this 2004 again?

Yeah 2 classes though, and only a couple of things within those 2 classes. It's no different than any other card being less useful against a certain class. You simply weigh the risks and attach less importance to it against a Mage or a Paladin or you wait till they use a good number of Freezes or Peacekeeper. And Peacekeeper is somewhat of a long shot anyways, and usually they will drop it as soon as it hits their hand, so you can get them to use it on anything with >3 power. If you're playing against a Paladin running Humility, you've already won. And even if it gets frozen you can draft the right stuff to either return it to hand or silence it. Venture Co wins me a looooot of games.

If you are in the US, I find playing in the morning, and prime time is good places to farm rank.

At night is when the really good players come out, and you are basically just feeding it each other games.

Interesting. In my experience on Europe it is the mornings that are insanely difficult. I've been playing on the American server the last 3-4 days or so, usually in the morning (my morning, London time, so around 2-8am server time) and my average win ratio for drafting is higher than ever, at 7.33 (I've kept track!). Before on Europe, mostly playing in the morning (10am-2pm server time) my average was around 6.5. So it seems the opposite for America/Europe! So far I have found the quality of players to be much higher on Europe, which is a little out of the ordinary.

If you switch servers on the same account, do you get to start all the newbie quests over for free drafts since your collection is reset?
