So the Shaman deck did surprisingly well vs Druids. I had to deck them in every single game, but I've been winning a lot more. Early game is inconsistent now for some reason, I had a rash of losses vs Warlock. Not sure what I changed that lead to that, or if it was just bad luck. Slid back to 16 trying out Strifecro's Druid deck, don't think I was playing it entirely correctly.

I miss Earth Elementals, but the overload is to harsh when they come out on turn 5 and everyone is running Black Knight which can come out on turn 6.
I think you replace them with Sunwalkers and be fine. I only have one so I'm only playing one, seems to work alright. But yeah sometimes it's completely anti value if you drop it as safety net on 5 cause you're already behind and he gets removed instantly(worst by black knight but even tinkmaster) then you can't do shit the turn after and you basically auto lose. On the other hand, you really kinda want taunts as a shaman due to the lack of healing/sustainablity the class has, even if you don't run weapons.

OK... Now it's time for Warlock Giant decks... 2 in a row (different people, I always check). What is the Warlock Giant counter these days?

This game is seriously losing it's fun for me.
i got to rank 9 and just got bored of facing the same decks over and over. casual is more fun to play than ranked.

Yeah, I did the same last season when I got to Rank 5 and, primarily, played Casual.

Anyway I switched to aggro mage and have been getting good matchups. Anti-Aggro Druid just isn't working right now because there's enough anti-Druid decks out there. And the problem with Strifecro's Anti-Aggro Druid deck is that games can go VERY long so losing is even harder to take. At least with Aggro Mage the game is over, one way or the other, before turn 10 usually.

The worst I think is facing another control deck, cause whoever has the best legendaries tend to win and since I only have rag and newly crafted Sylvanas, whenever I get the guy with Cairne+Cenarius+Tinkmaster+Black Knight, I'm most likely losing(part of it is 2 of these are removal when the only removal I run is a naturalize which is fairly awful against control decks but need to have something at least and a BGH is too expensive to craft atm I'm out of dusts).

So I generally play rogue instead, I made a miracle deck to fuck around with it's pretty fucking fun but it's extremely gimmicky too. You can manage to draw your entire deck in 10ish turns though, did it earlier but fucked it up and lost my headcrack while I was doing random shit(full hand so when it comes back it gets discarded) and ended winning but just barely, like literally had to shiv for the last point of damage and I took 4damage of fatigue from it which left me at exacty 1 hp, so couldn't have been closer. It was the first run with the deck though and I forgot questing adventurer when I was making it, so my win conditions were very limited(2eviscs, 2deadlypoison+1perdition, 2auctioneers, 1azure drake, 1cold blood and 1leeroy). Ran it a few times more with adventurer and worked a lot better.

Other rogue deck is more typical rogue with more minions, like dark iron/shattered/argus etc and you just buff your shit and combo control shit out and you basically trade efficiently every turn until your can chip the opponent down to a low enough amount that you can burst him down. Rogue's reach is amazing, it's not uncommon for me to finish people who have like 18-20health with 6damage worth of minions on the board due to coldblood/leeroy/evisc/blade flurry+deadly poison combos.

Sunwalkers aren't as bad, but having them get Knight-ed is just as bad. Really comes down to maintaining board control.

Working on a very gimmicky control deck. Everything is 3 mana or more except Ancestral Spirit. Synergizes great with Far Sight (turn 6 Ysera is fun). I haven't beaten a Warlock or Mage yet, but doing really well vs everything else.

Also Blood Imps+Angry Chicken kind of works. My Fire Elemental just died to a Chicken.

Did they reset ladders? I was back to 25 in ranked, and the people I'm running into have crazy decks.

They did. They also plan to reset like this every month from here on out. After seeing what the reset has done to the more casual gamers, I have to wonder if they will change their ladder reset plans. It has to be a miserable play experience for the for the first 4-6 days after a reset for the less skilled players, logging in at rank 25 on a weekend and playing game after game against potentially the best players in the world? and it will happen every month? There has to be a better way.

Season 1 ended couple of days ago yeah. Ranks are reset, not fully spread out yet so higher ranks are more difficult.

Personally I feel that a 3 month season "feels" better. 1 month just isn't long enough. Yeah the top end might get bored fighting around for Legend #1 but you risk pissing off the core players (i.e. the more casual crowd) if they can't play 1 week a month due to resets and getting stomped by players who should be in the higher ranks.

Man, talk about disappointing. Each card sounded good until it flipped over. Also I've gone from 4-5 win arenas to 2-3 wins, not sure what happened. I feel like my playing is getting better and my drafting is getting worse.

Ladder grinding is really boring past lvl 11. In 30+ games I saw 1 or 2 shamen, 1 priest, not a single single mage or rogue, and none of the other classes. The rest is about 75% druid/warrior and 25% warlock, though I'm not sure a saw any warlocks with a better rank than 11. You can play a semi fast deck and still counter druids but warriors just shit on everything that isn't slow boring bullshit (druid and paladin). None of them are using molten giant either so you can't even play around that now =/

I think druid is just a well designed class. Most of the popular classes have cards you just hate to play against. Lose to a warlock and you feel like blood imp needs a change. Play against mage and you rage about pyroblast. Play against warrior and there's like 5 OTK cards you get annoyed about. When I lose to a druid though, there's not any game I feel like I lost to an unbalanced card. It's just a class with a lot of options, but no single card being overpowered. I hope they can bring all the classes to that position, though rogue is probably in the same boat as well.

Yeah, there should be some kind of threshhold for higher ranking players, making legendary players go through ranks 25-20 again? That is just going to piss new players off. Should be something like every 5 levels you're locked in for next season. If you finish 15 one season, you'll start 15 next season, finish rank 6 you start rank 10 next season, legendary starts rank 5, etc.

Yeah something like that would make sense.

Amzin, you're complaining about 2 rares, an Epic and a Legendary? Even if it was all trash, which it isn't, that's still 545 Arcane Dust in the pack. That's actually a pretty amazing pack considering that the worst case pack is nothing more than 40 dust.

Yeah I would be pretty happy with that pack as well, murloc warleader is a must for a murloc deck and saves you from having to craft it. Mukla was in the spotlight until wild pyromancer became common, but it's still a good enough legendary to actually run in many decks.

Run into 2 Arena decks this morning that would've passed for the OTK and Shadowpriest decks floating around reasonably often these days, every single card including epics represented... very odd.
