Grim Patron isn't even close to the best deck in the game, and Paladin is the best it has ever been. You want to talk about fucked, before GvG it wasn't even really viable to ladder as paladin. I mean it could be done, but no matter how you built the deck, some other class could do it strictly better.

Right now Paladin is probably the healthiest it has ever been in the history of Hearthstone.

I've been stalling at ranks 3-5 with paladin, I'm sure better players can get Legend np.

Most people will say Paladin is bad simply because there's no standard meta deck for Paladin.

I still love my Dragon Paladin deck though.

Got to play mill druid and use the full heal card on a priest with auchani out.

Feels good man .
That doesn't do anything the person with the Soulpriest casts Tree of Life. Unless you mean you were playing against mill druid and you were the priest. In which case yes it's quite funny.

Grim Patron isn't even close to the best deck in the game
In a recent poll, four out of six professional players ranked patron warrior as the best deck, and the remaining two players ranked it like 2nd/3rd best.

They all had paladin at the very bottom. It's completely absent from tournaments as well, and has no good deck at the moment.

Right now Paladin is probably the healthiest it has ever been in the history of Hearthstone.
An absurd notion. I don't even know how to express how ill-informed that is. It's widely regarded as the worst class in the game since BRM.

Basically, your post is utter shite. Everything you wrote is the polar opposite of the truth.

Well paladin has been complete shit for the history of HS(in constructed), it probably was never better than it is now. Can you think of a time when it's cards were better than they are now? That part is not an untrue statement.

I'd love to see your supposed poll so we can either pick it apart or find out that the context of the poll doesn't actually support your position at all.

Paladin was good at the tail end of season 2 right before Nax hit. This is when the Meta shook out Stall mage as almost unbeatable. Pyroblast was cheaper etc

Healadins were the only ones that could effectively counter them. That is the only time Paladin was ever good imo

Funny that Pally is the class I have the most trouble with in arena though... they seem really good there.

Dude, midrange paladin was consistently effective on the ladder for most of the time between GvG and BRM, ever since Strifecro (and maybe some others) popularized it. I would say it was right at the top of tier 2 for laddering decks. Matched up decently against both brands of hunter and mechmage, but terrible against Oil Rogue and unfavored against druid, so you couldn't call it tier 1.

Paladin is in a state of flux right now because Patron does punish you for having unbuffed tokens out, and people are still trying to figure out how viable Dragon Paladin is.

Hunter has dominated since Nax. They really hasn't been any fluctuation.

Same with warlock. They've only had one bad season, and that was the right before the current adventure pack due to undertaker being nerfed. They are now back on top.

Paladin imo has never had a time where they had an overwhelming state of good matchups versus bad.

I never said they've ever been overpowered. I'm saying that before GvG they weren't even really viable on the ladder. Like you'd probably have an easier time playing a f2p of any other class than trying to grind out legend with pre-GvG paladin. GvG made them actually competitive, which they really weren't before.

Last week of April Team Liquid power ranks had 4 out of 6 polled players (Firebat, Neirea, Strifecro, and Sjow) list patron warrior as the top deck with another voting it as second. Paladin and Shaman decks are largely holding up with rear.

They have it ranked number one again this week, and Paladin is still in the cellar. The rankings can be a week behind the meta for the most part, overall they are fairly accurate though. I see people have success with midrange pallies but it is a struggling class to some degree right now.

I don't get how grim patron warrior is considered so strong, I've only played a few games with it, but every time it feels like I have a bunch of useless cards in my hand I'm waiting to combo and the combos don't come in until late.

It definitely takes a bit of getting used to. Based on your hand, your early game can be a mix between control, tempo, and even sometimes face. You also need to know when to all in more so than a lot of decks. It's a riot to play though.
