Not everyone plays ranked competitively. They'll play the deck that they enjoy, and have fun even if they don't rank very high.
I have never gotten below 10, generally end up between 12-15...but aside from this thread I don't read anything about the game, or the meta. I mostly play decks that I make myself...based sometimes on what I encounter while playing. I'll watch some Strifecro video once in a while because I find him interesting the way he goes over every move he makes, and think his entire reasoning out loud.
My current deck is a tempo, flamewalker, dragon based mage deck. I made it myself and never saw anything quite like it...I see some tempo flamewalker once in a while but they are nothing like mine.
It's not the most competitive deck out there, ranked 11th last season but it is by far the most fun deck I have ever played...it not very focused on any one thing...it can win in so many different ways it's so cool. It also does pretty well against everything...barring horrible draw, or perfect draw for my opponent which I guess is the case for all decks really. Not saying it's strong against everything or I would rank legend, but it does pretty well for my taste.
Bottom line, I have fun even though I don't rank under 10 or I'm not really interested in it since it would require keeping up with the meta somewhat, and possibly playing decks that I don't enjoy as much...and for what? Not like we get anything for ranking beside a card back.
