I don't know, most of the cards offer about 1 stat point for winning a Joust and major lack of worth if they lose the Joust. It's not so powerful that it couldn't stand to happen more often.Joust would be too strong if it won ties. As it stands its looking to just be a worthless mechanic, which is fine with me because fuck RNG.
I can see a Druid Joust deck kinda working... or a giants deck..I don't know, most of the cards offer about 1 stat point for winning a Joust and major lack of worth if they lose the Joust. It's not so powerful that it couldn't stand to happen more often.
Lots of aggro paladins run shredders. Implosion is RNG. Also midrange hunter is strong and often does run shredders. I see what you're saying otherwise but shredder isn't the best example.Meta decks will always be the decks with the least amount of RNG.
Look at current meta decks:
Patron/Eboladin/Facehunter/Handlock/Demonlock/Zoo/Freeze Mage/Tempo Mage/Control Warrior
There is very little RNG. None of these decks even have Shredder.
The most RNG is Boom bots/Unstable Portal/Ragnaros/Brawl
Joust is neat and a select few cards might see some play, but there won't be an entire Joust deck, not even close.
you can ping Huffer with a Fallen Hero on boardIf you think about the situations in when you play Arcane Golem, it's mostly to hit for lethal or threaten lethal next turn. Arcane golem has an upside to Huffer in that it gives you an additional threat on the board to threaten lethal for the next turn. Depends on the situation really.
Sheep is good that you can ping it off or run one of your minions into it without dying but Huffer is more problematic since you cannot ping him off or you might need to trade off a useful minion to kill him.
Don't get me wrong, I am a fan of the spell and it is really good but all I am saying is both Sheep and Huffer can exist depending on your playstyle and the kind of deck you are running.
No it doesn't fall apart... 2 cards of 30 is still very limited. And Portal is usually combined with Wyrm or Flame Walker.Yeah your argument kind of fails when Mages are running Unstable Portal which is about the most RNG there is. RNG can be desirable if the reward is great.
Yeah but that's because most of the Joust cards don't really benefit enough from the RNG.No it doesn't fall apart... 2 cards of 30 is still very limited. And Portal is usually combined with Wyrm or Flame Walker.
My point is you're not loading up on RNG cards in meta decks. It's usually limited to 1-2 cases max.
A full joust deck won't be a thing but again, you might see ONE card make the cut here or there.
This. I don't mind RNG cards as long as they provide good value on average. Unstable Portal being a good example of a value RNG card. The problem with the joust cards is that even if you win those let's say at 60/40 the benefits aren't worthwhile to justify their use.Yeah but that's because most of the Joust cards don't really benefit enough from the RNG.
