Agreed. Quite a few good ideas with horrible implementation. It's like I said before, they are afraid of making anything too good at this point. It's really sad to watch, it's pitiful. That's probably the most depressing thing about TGT so far. Tons of great ideas behind some truly terrible balancing. Which means these cool ideas will never see major play.
Not sure if sarcasm. You guys are crazy. I can't see Aviana failing.
If was like a 6/7 I could see her being used quite a lot. But at 5/5 I just don't see it. You are basically having to wait until turn 10 to get a small benefit from it. I guess a turn 10 Aviana + Ancient of War is okay. In that sense you are paying 3 mana for a 5/5, not the other way around (paying 1 mana for a 5/10). You are paying 3 mana for a 5/5. That's not too spectacular. Obviously there are other examples, other minions and Innervate and if she manages to stay alive obviously she is godly, but at 5/5 that doesn't seem likely. At the absolute best you play a 9 mana minion and get a 5/5 for 1 mana, but even then, that's not amazing given the conditions needed to make it happen.Aviana stats are fine considering its essentially a 5/5 for 1 mana if you play it with another 9 cost minion.
Then if your opponent doesn't have an answer for both they have to decide which one to remove. You don't exactly want to leave her or a ysera on the board.
May also add value to those late game innervates, play her and any 3 minions you choose seems really good to me in a control druid.
mmhmm. So I think I've finally lost faith in TGT and won't be pre-ordering.
In many cases your opponent will have to decide though, not sure if you've played a lot of control since you do mostly arena. But most of the time late game control you drop a big minion and it gets hard removed if you have her and another big minion on the board now your opponent has to decide if they can only remove one and chances are much higher they'll only be able to remove 1. Unless your hand is empty they are almost forced to use the removal on aviana leaving your other big drop on the board.if she manages to stay alive obviously she is godly, but at 5/5 that doesn't seem likely.
Foe Reaper doesn't do anything the turn he's played. Aviana does as a combo piece. It's like waiting to turn 9 to do FoN combo. Instead you wait turn 10 for Aviana combo.Do I have to go dig up the Foe Reaper 4000 discussion and re-post it verbatim? A powerful effect alone does not make a card good. Twisting Nether sucks, Foe Reaper sucks, and so does Aviana.
