One brawl, an owl + any hard removal, even just a silence plus damage from on-board minions, a fucking betrayal or lightbomb or whatever the hell else. There's a million ways to break your wall of death. Deathwing the new meta!

Have you played a lot of control? Unless the control player had a rough start usually both boards are clear late game. This is when the control player plays one big minion and it gets hard removed. Obviously it wouldn't be as strong of a play if your opponent already has an established board, but druid literally has no way to come back anyway if their opponent has an established board late game since no one is going to use poisoned seeds + bloodmage + swipe. If you have the right cards in hand this may be one way of getting back in the game. In the cases where both boards are clear, which is what control strives for, then it really isn't that easy for your opponent to remove this card + another big minion or potentially multiple other big minions. Silence + hard removal, chances are only handlock MAY have that, brawl? there aren't too many wallet warriors and you know long before turn 7,8,9 if your opponent is running brawl or not, lightbomb? that is an even rarer deck and lightbomb isn't removing kelthuzad, ysera, sneed's, etc. Oil rogue may actually be able to clear the board after, but again it won't be easy if its something like aviana + kt + sludge belcher it would require deadly poison + oil + blade flurry + eviscerate.

Really the only problem is as someone pointed out control/kel thuzad druid isn't that strong, will this new class legendary make it stronger? I think its too early to say if it'll make it stronger or its garbage.

Oh I didn't even realize Aviana was a class legendary. Looking back at the pictures, that means Anub is a Rogue legendary? But I guess it only matters in the sense that now we know rogue won't be getting a playable legendary, because nobody would play Anub even if he were neutral.

I think the 5 card one might be even worse, since board clearing has always been the biggest weakness of druid.

There's lots of possibilities that exist like that in the game already but when they only happen one in a hundred games they suck. I can't believe how overhyped this thing is, did people learn nothing from Chromaggus?

I thought Chromaggus was better than he ended up being, but if you're comparing Aviana to Emperor Thaurissan, you're the one who learned nothing.

Yeah... Right now I haven't placed a preorder and it's looking less likely that I will do so. It's a good price per pack and a free card back (Yay I guess?) but the cards just aren't doing it for me yet.

So for those hoarding gold, what's your plan? Dump it into new packs or just buy old packs for golden cards and use the dust to craft the 2 or 3 playable TGT cards?

I don't plan on doing anything with my gold. I might buy some packs I suppose but I'll need to see something I want to craft and then probably dump half the gold into packs just so I don't craft something I might draw.

There are undoubtedly going to be a few commons and a couple of rares you will want so you should dump gold into new packs imo, you do not want to have to craft commons and rares.

I'm actually not entirely joking about doing just that though. Spending all of my gold on Classic and GVG packs in hopes of getting some good Golden Cards that I don't have and then using all the excess dust to craft the few good TGT cards that I'm sure will be revealed at some point. Right now we're about halfway through the reveals and almost nothing stands out. The 3 cost Legendary and a couple other cards here and there.

With that said, I do like Eadric the Pure. He's a bit expensive at 7 mana but he really helps turn the game around if you're behind by neutering all of your opponent's minions. I think he has potential.

Jesus 95% of posters on Hearthpwn are braindead. You guys are dreaming when you think Aviana is godly. She is okay at best. I can't understand why people throw out all sense of logic and realism when they see cards like this.

I'm not sure how he's hung in with Hearthstone for so long other then he makes money off it.
