If you PS the egg to knock Murky into a 40s rez timer you are guaranteed a 4v5. The main purpose of Murky is to try and turn a 5v5 into a 4v4 and hope they blew some important cooldowns on you and eventually run your way back into the team fight. If your squish isn't getting puffer+octo combo'd it is hard to lose that team fight with a full 5 even if your Nova can't PS.

Assault Egg is pretty legit as well. If you are active about moving your egg around it can make a fantastic ward and also when people see a Murky egg they get a murderboner for it. So you can force them to spend some DPS skills on your egg making it so your team can swoop in and kill them.
Speaking of murderboners. I had an Abathur in HL yesterday who would mega mine some bushes then reveal himself in a not-so-obvious way so people thought they were getting an easy gank. He'd just slug-o his way through the bushes and they'd die from like 8+ mines. I swear he got like 3 kills doing this shit. It was hilarious.
