Ok, just from watching most of these clips and the random ones that now are all over my feed, I agree that Gawr Gura is maybe my favorite. Is she not playing GTA? Diggy Diggy Hole was awesome.
After her, I have to admit that the Bau Bau twins make me laugh pretty much constantly. They are just fucking hilarious. That whole duck boat thing hurt my cheeks I was smiling so hard. Or when they run pedestrians over and they're like, "It's fine, he's ok."
Still have a hard time picturing a human female sounding like Gawr or the twins though. The twins even have almost like a lisp/overbite sound at times, which is endearing don't get me wrong, but how the fuck do they sound like that??
As far as the others I don't really know/see much about them yet, but in terms of avatar, voice, and overall demeanor, that voice actress chick hits every one for me. Her avatar doesn't look like a kid and is attractive, her voice is awesome, and she seems pretty funny, particularly when interacting with others. Elizabeth, I looked it up, I'll have to remember her name.

In the case of Gura if she's really 4'7 then she's under the cutoff for dwarfism and that can affect your voice range. For Fuwamoco I think it's just a legit weird accent from unusual cultural conditions (I want to say raised as an English speaker in Japan with some weird third factor I can't place, Canadian maybe?) because I've never seen them 'break character' in a clip which you sometimes hear from other vtubers who are exaggerating some part of their speech pattern.
I mean anything could be fake but here's a clip of her not wanting to miss a collab despite being sick/losing her voice and even her desperate shrieking still has her trademark OEH sound.

That was a hilarious clip, thanks. I wasn't implying that they are faking or using alteration devices/software, just that I would love to see how they sound like that.

I've realized there is a problem though. I can't watch most of them live, because I have no fucking clue what they are saying half the time because they lapse into Japanese periodically, and most of their normal speech patterns are still a little difficult to follow at times. Without the subtitles translating to English, I'm too lost. Which is another reason why I really dig that Elizabeth chick.

Haha, yeah. I wait for the people to upload the subtitled clips. I stick to the English members most of the time and just watch the Japan side when the events like this happen.

Soo. YouTube has been going after Vtubers to some extent lately. Mainly because people/haters are trying to copystrike down channels. The biggest victim has been Ironmouse having both her clip and vod channels deleted. Basically they were forcing her to give out her real life information and would not speak with her lawyers or VShojo her company.

The crims were doing some kind of crazy mission at the military base this morning. My own japanese was wholly inadequate, so eventually I could flip on auto translation and it too was completely confused; talking about eggplants in the middle of a huge fight etc.
Hopefully a clipper translates soon. I think they had to steal a truck from the base with a big bomb in it but that's about all I could gather.

That highlights the biggest issue with DMCA and how Youtube handles it - there really seems to be no real mechanism to punish false DMCA claims
