Ok live view of what better be the Battle of the Gullet. so far 100% of the scenes are invented for the show and not a single one is from the book, just like 95% of this entire season and 85% of the entire show (both seasons).

Daemon became "king of the step stones" then he fucking left and has been doing his own thing for a year now, they took the stepstones back immediately since nobody was there to stop them.

Making this scene about Larys trying to convince Aegon to flee is so fucking retarded. Aegon is the one who planned this escape, he goes to get his *not dead* dragon and heads to Dragonstone where he kills all of Rhaenyra's people and waits for King's landing to overthrow her which they do immediately because she's such a shit ruler and then he feeds her to his still *not dead* dragon.

I get it, they drastically cut the budget to this shit show, cut the episode counts, etc, so yeah they cut a bunch of battles from it, but there are ways to show battles or the after affect of battles with a low budget, they did it throughout the first few seasons of GoT and you still kept the story intact without neutering half your characters.
In the book he assembled his army at the end of last season and has had 2 major battles so far this season, working up to a 3rd battle where he feints an attack on the lannister army so that he on his dragon can evade the army from king's landing + Aemond/Vhagar, and join Rhaenyra on the siege of King's landing.
But instead this season he's just moping around Harrenhal with a case of the yips and delusions, with this whole "is he loyal to Rhaenyra or not" garbage storyline.
Oh so now Alicent is back and she is the one who wants to flee with Halaena? what the fuck is this scene? its so stupid got this writing is bad. what a cunt they are making alicent into.

edit: At this pace I can't see this show getting renewed for a season 4 so they are going to have to finish the entire story in 8 episodes of season 3. that means they are going to have to cut out every single land battle down to probably just 1 major land battle, prolly end up being a combo of the first and second battle at tumbleton. They'll just have all the riverland stuff teleport to the reach, not like they own a map.
At this point i'm not going to bother with spoiler tags, this shit doesn't deserve it.
Season 3 first episode they'll probably find a way to make it absolute garbage filler, but it should be the battle of the gullet, death of Jacerys and his dragon, loss of of Aegon III and Viserys, leaving Rhaenyra believing that 3 of her 4 remaining son's just died (her last being Joffrey who is schrodinger's cat, he currently exists neither in the Vale nor on Dragonstone).
By the end of the episode Aegon III will be discovered alive but still Rhaenyra will be pissed and immediately siege king's landing, mad queen style. She will, in her rage, have Alicent and Halaena raped repeatedly (rumored to have happened in the book but doesn't actually happen), Halaena will kill herself along with her youngest Son Maekor by jumping into the spike pits.
This they will then use to have the small folk start to turn against her, along with her having no gold in the treasury the food riots/famines will really start to kick in to over drive. They will probably skip the 3 kings storyline and just do the small folk/shepard storyline? IDK they only have 8 episodes and they love their useless filler.
They will have the major battle of tumbleton where the two bastards betray rhaenyra and wipe out the riverland army, like I said previously Hugh's wife and her family will somehow be killed during this battle which is why he betrays, since they decided to make him so honorable in the show. Ulf will just continue being Ulf so far he is the **ONLY** character in the show who is properly portrayed (a drunk power hungry rhapscalion braggard with no morals or qualms for shit). Addam will heroically sacrifice himself to kill of these traitors which ends with all of them dying, so that's Daeron/Tessarion, Ulf/silverwing, Hugh/Vermithor, and Addamn/seasmoke all dead (Silverwing lives for a bit longer in the book but doesn't matter)
Daemon will have not went with them or flee, or idk, he will stick around harrenhal with Rhaena now and they will hunt for Aemond/Vhagar. Aemond Vhagar will twirl his mustache is true evil fashion and burn down cities. They will eventually find one another and Daemon + Aemond will both die at the battle of the God's eye along with both of their dragons. Rhaena will fuck off to the Vale I guess? idk it's weird giving her sheepstealer. but it's not like this show has to concern itself with accurate story telling.
Eventually the peasantry along with the faith militant style uprising in King's landing will overthrown the gold cloaks, break into the dragon pit and murder all the dragons. Rhaenyra's last son Joffrey will mount Rhaenyra's dragon Syrax to fly to the dragonpit and save his own dragon, but Syrax will toss him from his back and Joffrey will fall to his death, leaving only the baby toddller Aegon III as the only living Heir of Rhaenyra. All the remaining dragons will be killed by the smallfolk.
In the uprising, Rhaenyra will be forced to flee king's landing, where she will arrive back on dragonstone to find all her people are dead and Aegon III has been waiting there for her. He feeds to his dragon.
The final scene of show is Aegon II returning to King's landing on his injured dragon. The only other remaining dragon is Moondancer/Baela, who was hiding. She ends up killing Sunfyre and near mortally wounding Aegon II, but at the cost of her dragon, she then manages to flee. This way a strong black woman gets the final word in.
The rest of the story is just explained in an epilogue title card where they just state that aegon II is later poisoned by his small council and the toddler, Aegon III is crowned as King. Sorry we wasted too many episodes on bullshit filler so we ran out of money and can't finish the story proper, girl power rah rah.
