I used to believe this shit and I'm about 4 years further from retirement than I should be because of it.

The market looks rigged, manipulated, dramatic, etc from day to day but over a 20+ year timeline it is absolutely the best path towards increasing your financial wellbeing dramatically. Not taking advantage of tax-advantaged investing is basically just giving your money to the government for free.

I tend to look at DIA, SPY, and QQQ on FinViz and examine the relative vs average volume indicators. Anyway, my point is the market is up, sure, but it's not like buyers are swarming in.

In no way am I calling a bottom, but pointing out that buying quality when its on sale is a winning strategy over a long time horizon. Don't let fear stop you from taking or adding small positions in bellwether companies when they are beaten down.

AMZN +36% since the May low.
AAPL +27% since the June low
MSFT +16% off the June low
GOOGL +14% off the June low
NVDA +29% off the June low
QQQ +17% off the June low
SPY +14% since the June low
HD +14% off the June low
MA +17% off the June low
V +20% off the June low
UNH +20% off the June low

Im not counting it as "quality" but TSLA +40% since the May low.
