The “advantage” of day trading? You’re losing your fucking ass. Stop and just dump money into SPY every paycheck and forget about it. Check back in 20 years. That's an advantage of trading (especially a daytrade.) I don't really give a shit about what the company is. Price action is king. The only due diligence that is really necessary is to view the filings to make sure an S3 (or a shelf offering) isn't on deck because those are horrible to be caught in (IDAI above.)
To provide an example consider yesterday RXRX had news for a 50 million dollar investment from NVIDIA. Unless I'm a total dumbass (possible,) that news seems.. decent? Right? It was assaulted from $14.99 to $10 with a recovery back to $12.
PWM was one of these new china pump scams and the thing went to $32. TOP financial was another recent one and the legendary HKD happened earlier this year. I didn't play either of those.
Ok, groomer.I just throw up in my mouth a little and bought some DIS....
Most trades filled. Bought some more IWM
Looking at the company they have a malarial dewormer for sale that is less popular than equivalent alternatives. They're also seeking to get this dewormer approved for covid uses or something. I mean, at least it appears to be a real company with real products, so it's better than some of the meme stocks that pop up here.If you dont understand the business, why would you buy it? You cant analyze and value something you dont understand.
You made my point for me though. Stop being a trader. Historically, traders lose. Start being an investor. Ivermectin called and would like to have a word with you.Looking at the company they have a malarial dewormer for sale that is less popular than equivalent alternatives. I still like the company a lot to be honest and have some shares. I got very lucky while I was a SPAC and made a windfall which I reinvested so while I took a haircut when I sold most of my shares around $1, I ended up about even. My thought is eventually they get acquired by someone.Just to be part of the conversation, I never got in on MTTR but I did buy some SPIR based on the forum for which I am bag holding
Luckily I did not dump my life savings in it as I only have about ~=3000$ invested. It's majorly down, something like 60%. It is current trading around 0.69$ and I my cost basis is just under 3$ /ouch
Anyway I also went through the process of deciding if I should cut losses and decided no one this one for a few reasons.
- It is a small % of my portfolio so not really a huge deal to me
- Like Sanrith Descartes I believe they may eventually do something. I followed-up after FoH research and figured fuck it
- A reminder of my potential mistakes and why I typically do not go after individual tickers unless they are long established businesses
- I know this may sound amazing, but I have been selling 3$ covered calls on it monthly for 0.01 lol, someone is buying them so I keep doing it. Makes me chuckle once a month when get my 10$ due to SPIR
The only fix to inflation is to set rate at 1.5x the real rate of inflation and quit printing money like mad. This 7% crap is just another way they are transferring more money to themselves. If you go back in this thread about 18 months you will see some of us discussing that interest rates needed to be 7-9% to resolve this. This soft landing shit was always a bad idea. One thing the FED excels at is bad ideas.
Worst thanks I’ve ever had in my life but I’ll take it. You’re welcome!Nvm. You all are right. It is just a shitload of time, effort, and money lost for not really anything at all. Thanks and good luck.

Billionaire Charlie Munger's Advice: 'It's A B***h, But You Gotta Do It. Find A Way To Get Your Hands On $100,000' – Why Earning Your First $100,000 Is Key If You Want To Be Rich
The significance of amassing your first $100,000 cannot be underestimated when it comes to building long-term wealth. As Charlie Munger, esteemed investor and vice chairman of Berkshire Hathaway Inc., aptly stated during a shareholder meeting in the late 1990s, "The first $100,000 is a b***h...finance.yahoo.com
