There would have been binaries on usenet when I was 15, but they would just have been titty pics or playboy rips. Movies didn't appear on the internet for a while, and who could have watched it on 28.8? There was no web browsers until about the time I finished high school.

No, we were not on porn forums at 15.
I've seen a lot of weird ass derails, but taking mist's bait on how you consumed porn as 15 year olds is certainly weirder than most.

Had to think about this one for a couple minutes. I guess first time I saw internet porn would have been 1998. I guess I was 22.

Fuckin 15? We didnt own a computer and I dont know if the internet even existed.

Degenerates.

Do bonds care about technicals? TLT sitting near the 200-Day. Wouldn't mind moving some of my cash into longer duration.

Long dated treasuries are pulling about 4.5% - 4.8% depending on what type of coupon you want in the secondary market. This is stuff out into 2040 and beyond maturities. You avoid the ETF aspect of TLT and just buy the bonds.

I feel like bonds ETFs don’t really care about technicals because its value as an etf is a function of the perceived net present value of its bond assets. It might trade +/- 1% or so to the market value of the underlying assets but rarely more variance than that.

I think owning tlt vs owning treasuries directly can impact how that income is taxed significantly though. Far outside of my area of expertise but worth some research imo if it’s a big buy in a taxable account.

I think Blazin Blazin and Jysin Jysin track them much more than I do,. My limited understanding is that technicals do apply to TLT.

If you plan on holding a corporate bond to maturity and the company is absolute shit, then you better keep the duration shorter than their bankruptcy!

if a company like BA is in a huge pile of shit, but you believe they’ll claw back or stay afloat long enough to pay the bond, then you’ll basically get the rates of near junk status from a Fortune 500 company, which isn’t that much of a difference, but it’s a little value

Thanks for the news. I tried to find some info about it but nothing. Even searched for the referenced reddit thread mentioned in the article but got lost in the noise of people asking about it.

Anyone have any inside information? Anyone on the beta list wanna sneak a screenshot?

Was the problem with fidelity the app or the brokerage? I didn't see people recommending it for trading because of processing times and the like.

The mobile app and ATP both have terrible UI/UX's.

Their website is fine though.

I use ATP exclusively. I never had issues with processing speeds or real-time data. The UI is a bit dated and clunky, but like anything in life you become accustomed to it after using it for a while. I'm sure I will be lost for a week or two when the new one comes out.

There are some other annoying things like:

  • Maximum options orders of 200, options not 200$ obviously
  • I cannot figure out how to set trailing orders on spreads, kind of annoying but not the end of the world honestly
  • Options + Conditional orders are a bit quirky. Some things work, some are not allowed
  • Some grouping issues with multiple accounts and grouping style. I use multiple windows
  • News/Research windows are not great
