Your PM should be straight with you. Either they are working with the govt on further tasking/funding or they aren't. If they aren't, either they are going to keep you on overhead or transition you to another project, or they aren't.

We ran through E911 this afternoon, obviously not all of it, but an overview of the implementation.

Because I work second shift where we have to support all products, I do level 1 support on the full Vesta PSAP stack and at the carrier level so most it was at least familiar to me, as far as the requirements go for enhanced location information.

But yes, the E911 implementation sucks; it's significantly more onerous than Cisco or Avaya CM.

Between that and the lack of good call flow/contact center features, I don't think I'd even recommend Skype for Business for a lot of types of businesses as a full PBX solution. But it's definitely a fun build.

Tbh if a company ever did that to me I'd bounce so fast

They told.me I could brush up on Java, c++ and rhel for 2 weeks
