So, we all live in a simulation....
But 2 nights ago, I was thinking - "I would love to start a company that truly remasters games - like FF7 remake in terms of visual, but keeping the 'old time classic' battle systems. I would do Lunar - I would make the graphic style like what Wild Arms 3 tried - I am sure we have the technology. It would be 3d real time anime, it would look exactly like the anime scenes but during everything, map, town, battle system, like a 100% playable anime."
Then this... so while not what I was thinking - it was still the same game...like come on cosmic simulation! lol
I wonder if this is off of the mobile game? After I had that imagine session, I said "I should buy the mobile version to see what differences it has"- because Lunar has now a good half dozen versions - each with small changes or translation things to the story and characters.
As for those that have never played, the soap joke, is at the very beginning of the game you have 1 chance to buy "Soap" or sometimes "Soap on a Rope" - and it is a completely useless item... until you get to the hot springs, you cant enjoy the hot springs without soap!
The first one you find is along the story, it is the men's hot springs. The 2nd is later, it is the women's hot springs and is surrounded by /very/ hard bad guys. If you use your soap- you get an anime cut-scene of the characters enjoying their time in the spring... we get to see way too much of Nash and not enough on the other side of the coin with the other spring ;-P lol - so save some cash before the boat trip and buy atleast 2 soaps... if they keep the scenes, or cut them for "Modern audiences"
In Lunar 2, the hot springs and how one of your characters reacts during each time there, is actually part of the plot and character development. My only save in Lunar 2 is right before the final tower and boss...and I am under leveled and leveling there is hard - there is no way to get any more items or anything.
Looks like it is off of the PSX release SSSC - obviously it is using the anime cut-scenes and general visuals - Alexs sounds fine, but again, sorry that Luna was, rough... wonder why they would go about redoing all the voice acting but keeping the cut scenes?
Still - first day buy. I consider Lunar the Silver Start Story Complete akin to LoTR in the world of JRPG's - yeah, its like 100% "JRPG Anime Tropes" but done SO SO WELL. Just this preview reminded me of how long the game actually is, I forgot about a lot of things.
