Yeah, I wouldn't say the prequels are the worst movies ever. Maybe the most disappointing though.

I see so many mix reviews on this movie from different movie threads across the internet. Either it's the worst movie ever ( hard to believe, did anyone watch The Last Airbender??), or it's a pretty good film.

Guess I will decide for myself when the Torrent comes out

Alien Franchise would be easy to rate imo.

Even the worst of the Franchise films wasn't horrible if you enjoy Whedon.

AvP on the other hand is an abortion

Alien Res. - 5 (only saw it once when it first came out. don't really remember much. but it felt kinda meh)
Prometheus - 7.5

Cloud Atlas was pretty cool. Better than Jupiter Ascending. I actually don't own this one, but I'm considering it.

Alien 3 is definitely not a 6 imho. That movie is not as bad as people make it out to be. Problem is you have almost a side story movie coming off something like Aliens, and nothing would have lived up.

Also Alien and Aliens are both 10's if you consider the time period they came out, and how they still hold up today.

I actually like Alien3 as well. Just not as much as the first two. The first two scared the shit out of me when I was little. If it's higher than a 5, I liked it. 5 is "meh" territory. Under 5 is didn't like it.

I personally wouldn't put the first two at 10s because I'm not drawn into them as much as other films that I would give a 10 to, like The Matrix. But I can see why some would put them at 10s, especially the second one.

Problem with Alien is probly all of us didn't see it when it came out. I wasn't even born.

But if you realize it came out in 1979, and there really was nothing like it at the time then it's an instant classic, and deserves it's 10. It has influenced how we see movies, and even video games all the way to 2015.

It's one of Ridley's best films, only trumped imho by Blade Runner.

Ya, I grew up a few years later on Back to the Future, which I would give a 10. I can't get enough of that movie. Some other 10s in the sci-fi area that come to mind are 2001 and Terminator 2.

It's funny that in my top 10 there is so much science fiction ,but it's only because my favorite movie creators are able to cut loose in that genre so easily.

There is allot of great Kubrick films, but I still count 2001 as his crowning achievement.

Not true at all. I just tend to forget the movies that sucked and move on. I already listed the 2 AvP movies as movies I didn't like. If I just listed movies that I thought sucked, we'd be here all night.
