I enjoyed the matrix series. You gotta figure though, the stuf that made the brothers stand out was nto the story, but the cinematography of the movies, especially the first movie which introduced that still photography in a series to film the fight scenes. It was revolutionary and groundbreaking at the time.

This lol. I know this movies is going to be horrible, yet there is some attraction i cant put my finger on that is drawing me to see it in the theater, perhaps its the Scifi kick i am currently on that is being starved this winter.
Lord Cthulhu give me the strength to resist.
Driving to go see it with my kids (age 13) right now. We will see if they or I like it at all. Unfortunately 3D is the best showing time for us.

There was but I read up on it, and the main accusation is from like some short story that sounds like any generic monomyth, I think the same person also tried to sue Cameron for T2 or something (could be wrong). Just rewatched the Matrix and some people say that Dark City movie, and eXistenZ all had the same "idea" but not really, they are so not on the same level as the Matrix.
The Matrix seemed more like an action movie placed over a cyberpunk bible. Allegory is hardly new but, at least for the 1st movie, it was done fairly well for its time.

Worst movie I have seen in my entire life. I cannot believe I watched this bullshit. One of my kids fell asleep.

What more to the ending did you want? It was a classic Disney channel TV movie ending. The girl gets all these riches and power and then realizes she just wants to be Cinderella scrubbing the toilets ....
Seriously the worst writing, terrible space opera scenes, ridiculous "aliens" just to enhance the budget, scratchy throat bad guy, ridiculously stupid costumes, and an overall bad premise.
