The gold changes are definitely noticeable. I'd say as support I get about 20% less gold that I was in 3.14. Lame.

Get crushed game 1, ban Zilean game 2. Can Dignitas turn it around?

Probably not.

Love the harass by wickd against Evelyn. Slowing her down early is especially painful.

edit - game's over, 3:55

Closer than the first but still ez. Alliance roaming seemed so much better timed. You'd think with Kiwi being so new it would be worth getting him a broken champ like Taric but they let him go Karma both games.

Karma wasn't the problem those games as much as I think Kiwi is a dumpster class pro. Crumbzz got destroyed by Shook, and both of Digs solos got destroyed from a farm/roam perspective.

Why do people from NA keep insisting that NA is known for their ADC's? The only thing NA is known for at this point is throwing, team infighting, tunnel vision, and Meteos.

Mechanically speaking only Uzi from China and Reckles from EU are on par with DoubleLift and Wild Turtle. But yah NA blows right now. Ironically I'm hoping that having an EU mid on TSM will net them a top four finish at worlds this year. Dyrus is a world class top laner, Wild turtle and Xpecial are an elite bot lane, and Bjergsen was probably top two or three for EU mids which is their show case roles as a region. Only question is can Oddone keep up. His mechanics have always been weak so it remains to be seen.

Just watched that last match between SK and SHC, that was really cool. It was the 1st LCS Match I have watched.

@Vimesh where does Voyboy rank as a Mid?

In NA? Somewhere between 3rd to 5th depending on the day. Bjergsen and Mandatorycloud are top two until proven otherwise and the rest are pretty much average to subpar. Voys mechanics are fairly high for a pro but his decision making is very questionable and he can really only play aggressive assassin types at a high level. This is a problem that carried over from when he was a top laner in that he can't play utility or tanky champs very well at all. So his effective champ pool forces his team to run comps around him if they want him to be effective. No Orianna, Ziggs, Gragas, or Morganna at a high level of play for him. I think Shiptur is probably the third best mid in NA LCS but hard to tell considering his team sometimes.

With a best of five go to five games with two teams I'm not interested in watching I'm growing more fond of the LCS one game system. I'm watching Capcom Cup and hoping back and forth to the Atlantic stuff and this SK vs SHC shit will not end.

The entirety of the NA scene is a joke. People lie to themselves saying "well we have plenty of top tier players who are stuck on bad teams". Cloud 9 is the only team that can compete in the international scene and unless something drastic happens this year the worlds will be a joke yet again. We get absolutely murdered by the good international teams. Europe isn't that great a scene either but asia has this entire game on lockdown. Cloud 9 for NA and Fnatic for EU seem to be the only teams that are capable of competing and Cloud 9 hasn't been able to prove anything yet while Fnatic has won a worlds and went to the semis this year. Fnatic beat Cloud 9 pretty convincingly in the 3 game series and then Fnatic got stomped by a team that then went on to get stomped in the finals.

TSM is arguable the second best NA team (or was in S3) and they were absolutely subpar (to be nice) in the worlds.

In my opinion NA suffers from overconfidence syndrome. They absolutely wreck the teams they are better than. And the games that should be "even" turn into stomps in the other direction because they play too aggressively and can't recoup. It's very rare to see a long, close game with an NA team involved.

It's really not that hard to follow the standard template for building any NA sporting activity into a global competitor. So what aspects are NA teams missing and I don't mean game play i mean structurally in how NA scene is set up?

NA won't ever be competitive again in the scene. Korea, China, or Taiwan will own the scene until the next big "e-sport" game comes around where we will get that year buffer. We just don't have the infrastructure like they do. Our challenger and diamond 1 solo queue is a joke compared to theirs. Hotshotgg recently tweeted about this same topic and got dumpster by the masses, but he was right. League in North America is all about twitch numbers and sponsorship. Why try to be the best when i can make 6 figures from riot salary and twitch in a relaxed setting. Unlike their overseas counterpart that play to make it a career in a cut throat environment. teams over there cut people and demote them on performance unlike here where you have to "retire" to quit if you are popular. Look at saintvicious hotshot, elementz etc etc popularity kept them on a team/coach not their play. At least Europe is semi competitive in regards to league. They have their season 1 trophy to fight and try and reclaim.

TL;DR Na won't ever be competitive in league in a worldwide setting.

NA players think way too highly of themselves for the most part. "I'm pretty much top 5 in the world in my role, if not top 3" said every NA pro ever. The problem is they aren't nearly as good as they think they are and rather than work at it and progress they blame one of the other players on their team. "We need a new jungle, that's what's holding us back, but every jungle we find doesn't want to move into a game house". Gimme a break.

In other news, what's the with the shitty schedule on lolesports? Today's matches aren't even listed in the "upcoming matches" section on the home page.

Exactly?

Making it onto LCS and becoming a popular streamer would be way more important to me than being a better player than all of what Asia has to offer.

And don't forget the sponsorships and merchandising!

In the few years (maybe even a single season) where you are popular and on the LCS gravy train the priority should be to make as much money as possible.
