I've probably asked this before but I still don't get it:

You join a game and 3 people say "Top" then argue who goes in the top lane, then the match disbands and you have to wait again. The map is fucking symmetrical, are they really so bothered at lv20 over who is slightly closer to red/blue buff and dragon/baron?
If they aren't playing ranked and they really want a role they should just be using the team builder option. then they can queue in as top every time and there is no problem. ya you can't do any bans or counterpick the other team but at least everyone gets to play the role they want and are hopefully best at.

I prefer to watch everybody freak out as I play whatever the hell I want in whatever role is left over. Darius "support", various ap mids in the jungle, etc.

Is Team Builder level restricted? Seems dumb not to use it for normal matches, yea, but wouldn't be surprised if non-30s couldn't use it.

I'm just starting to get back into playing ranked, Gold V right now down from Gold I last season (and was playing against low/mid plats then too, unlike now). My mechanics are what's killing me, can't last hit for shit anymore, but otherwise I'm doing ok. Frankly seem less retarding and rage so far in Gold V than I did at the higher ELOs last season, so either random chance or maybe Lyte is scaring people into not typing dumb things finally. Had one support start bitching in a game and literally everyone jumped on his shit for it, he had to just give up saying anything.

Actually, I have noticed this more and more. One person says something unwarranted or just being an asshole and the whole team jumps their shit. I want to say Team Builder is level restricted but I am not sure to be honest.

I'm level 21 and can use Team Builder. I figured picking support would have the fastest queue and it was longer than a random game queue, so I don't use it.

I've spent a long time trolling in low plat/gold and then playing more serious to make it up to plat/low diamond. There's a few key major differences I've noticed...

I literally think the major difference between your average low diamond and gold player is they have a smaller dose of retard.
I just recently started playing CSGO. After a few weeks I'm ranked substantially higher than a friend who started at the same time. Friend is in the equivalent of Bronze 3-4. He tries to queue, fails to hit the queue accept button, gets banned for 24 hours, complains to me. I say ("Err, maybe thats because you got vote kicked from your game a bit earlier... that doesn't sound like a standard first time ban.") He replies with ("I've been kicked over twenty times") and explains how he "can't let trolls get away with being trolls". In other words, when someone on his team annoys him, he stops playing and tries to ruin their game experience right back...

Perhaps all it takes to get out of the low brackets in any ladder is "shut the fuck up" and "try to win".

Here's the final standings in our first/main/the best Rerolled Fantasy League. Points-wise, I was surprisingly close to 3rd and even 2nd (I was closer to 2nd than 5th was to my 4th). I like looking at it from the pure points, with only 11 chances to score/miss a win you end up with tons of ties in random places every time. Anyway, I did a lot better than I expected with my few tweaks from my auto-draft, and it was good times.

Euro teams did much better than NA which was my downfall.

NA teams scored higher last split.

Anyone here experienced with Rammus? I played him for the first time last night Top and in the Jungle. It was crazy fun especially with Mobo/Homeguard.

I was thinking about theorycrafting him a little bit. There are a few different builds out there where people use a combination of AS/AD/Armor runes and masteries are kind of all over the place. A lot of stuff works with him, but I wanted to see if I could get down to the nitty gritty.

I was playing him last night with some Hybrid Pene marks, Armor Quints, Armor Yellows and MR/CDR blues. I think I might get better clear speeds with AS Quints or AS Quints/marks. I may have to test the difference.

Now for items, I tried a FF and a Golem build. The FF build was so much better. Typically build Madreds -> Mobos -> Sunfire -> FF. I'm thinking that maybe BORK might be a good pick if you end up getting ahead.

Toplane is really fun with him too, especially at my shitty elo. I think something like Mobo > Sunfire > BORK might be a good build path if ahead, or if even/behind drop bork for Thornamil/Banshee. Same thing for Jungle.

Anyone every play the trolly AP Rammus build? Q/R have some crazy ratios and damage bases to them.

Full AP Rammus never really pans out like it looks on paper. Even against bots it doesn't do so well. AD Rammus works better for whatever reason. Overall though, Tank Rammus is best Rammus as long as enemy team has some decent AD damage. Against heavy AP teams, Mundo or Maokai is better.

At least I wasn't last ! Ya! Oh I forgot who mentioned they were chat restricted by according to Lyte you are in the 1%. Only 1% of all the players in NA are chat restricted so about 13,500 players or so have chat restrictions. This of course assumes that lolsummoners player data is correct. Food for thought.

I gotta believe there are more than 1,350,000 players in NA.
According to Google, LoL has 27 million players a DAY, even if only 10% of that was NA, that's still double your number @ 27,000 chat restricted players playing per DAY. I would like to believe that NA has at least 5million+ players a day.

Actually, when I wrote that I complete forgot that the number they provide is only ranked not everybody. So ya, the number is probably a little higher but still shows that you have to do a pretty good bit to even get chat restricted.

Rofl, if that statistic from Lyte is true, that's still pretty funny. I have a friend who grinded from Bronze S3 to Plat S4 and I think his chat restriction really helped him through Gold/Plat. A cup of STFU was a huge focus aid.

Tank Ram with thorn mail towards the end is a death sentence for the adc if you can weave your way to them. It's really fun when a fed adc gets wasted by you in a 1v1 matchup, it's kinda what he's meant for - or a Leblanc / great escape killer. I like ram as a counter to the super mobile

It is a straight quote from Lyte and I have yet to see him say something that isn't true and he is one of the ones constantly calling out/posting shit on the people crying saying their ban wasn't warranted. He also said EU sports a .5% chat restriction but that is largely due to language barriers so they can't always discern certain things otherwise it would be around the same as NA.

That 27 million number is a misleading total to divide globally. Largely because the userbase in China - which is counted - is obscenely large strictly due to there being a billion of them. Liquiddota.com recently began listing Chinese players streams just after TI4 with current viewer numbers from inside china on a service called douyutv.com. The sidebar has shown concurrent first person viewer numbers of a single player hitting 150,000. I cannot of course vouch for the accuracy of that value displayed, but if you compare it relative viewer values of dota players on twitch - that number can be as low as 10k total or maybe as high as 30 - but generally between 15-20k active viewers. Just simple extrapolation that league has 27 million players and that number is close to globally accurate. The viewer numbers for a single popular league streamer inside china should easily be approaching 500,000+ on scale alone. League on twitch has between 50/100k viewers - and those values include Europe, Russia, NA/ SA I think - and possibly SEA?

Dota's steam statistic (of 8 or 9 million unique users) does not include anything inside China as Perfect World runs Dota behind the firewall. I also believe that Tencent who now owns League - is in control of a couple social media websites in the spirit of twitter and the logins to those sites are also used as league of legends log in password/usernames, so only the client needs to be downloaded or on a netcafe PC for anyone to instantly try the game. Point is League is absolutely huge without a doubt, but its sort of like blizzard saying there was 12 million WoW Players - but a huge quantity of that value was from inside China. Until Riot gives regional numbers - its best to assume that a massive percentage of that total - perhaps even more than half or 60%+ are from inside China.

No doubt League is massive - and I did the same calculation you did - 1,350,000 didn't seem right. I still think the more accurate estimate is between 2-4 million - NA trends to be a very small total amount of these global numbers every time they get broken down regionally. I wish Riot gave better breakdowns and Valve had good data for use inside China. Merely to give a perspective scale of where these user numbers are represented since they are far and away - league especially - the most popular games in the world.

I'm not sure why you spent 3 long paragraphs pulling numbers out your ass just to agree with me?
