ThisBUT WHY NO EAST COAST SERVERS YOU STUPID FUCKHEADS.
I don't know if you are retarded or joking. You are literally adding thousands of miles (time) in between east coast and west coast players. 40-60 ms is a huge difference when other things are equal. Any game I can get a local server (non LOL) I have 50-75 ms ping. League is usually hovering at 105-110. That is super significant. What is the obsession with this? I don't get it. Do you get terrible ping or do you feel the lag will go away if they just add more servers and split the load?
Yes and when you are talking about a twitch level based game, that can make a huge difference. On top of your natural delay, you have that extra time added. It adds up and makes a hue difference. Essentially, people playing at 30ms are playing with no delay and everyone else is playing with .05 second delay on all their actions. Try that out in any serious game or sport and that team is significantly handicapped.Isn't the difference between 100ms and 50ms ping actually 5 hundredths of a second?
High ping, as in 200+, is a problem. But yeah being used to it is a big difference, that's why online tournaments are garbage when it's EU vs US and stuff like that where teams jump from their usual 30-40ms ping into 100-150(depending on location). Surprised LoL doesn't have east coast servers. Doesn't have to be its own region, could just default you to the lowest ping server when you do matchmaking.I've heard Krepo say on stream several times that a high ping isn't the problem it's having a steady ping that you are used to playing under.
Funniest thing I have heard in a while."My conclusion was that League of Legends gives too much away for free and it doesn't sell power. Riot could sell exclusive premium champions - they could, but there would be a Riot in the customer-base... If they let me change League of Legends I could double its revenue, and they could afford to lose 60 per cent of the customer-base and still do twice as much money."
