There's also the fact that a lot, maybe even most, of the champions are very, very close in balance, and honestly the only reason we don't see more diversity is the feeling of safety for sticking with the same few. We've seen a bunch of champions get played once out of no where and then stick around as other people suddenly felt it was 'ok' to play them.

I think balance being a lot better currently if you take in to fact his ult + his guarantee'd poke and the renewed emphasis on winning bot I can see how they like him.

Dont forget about his passive too, nothing helps more to push your bot lane into bully mode faster.

Zileans been a strong pick at high elo for a LONG time. His mechanics are very good against a lot of tricky chars (wu/yas cant dodge his shit). He fails at mid/lower elo because trusting your teammates to do work for you ends up falling flat more often.

He's fun. Beyond that I have trouble deciding if he's UP/OP or balanced. His kit overall is pretty strong, but it is so different that getting an early read on him is hard. I will say his ult is pretty underwhelming since they nerfed down the range from his last PBE incarnation.

I feel like he's very strong vs. an immobile enemy team, and very weak vs. a mobile one. But yea it's super hard to say right now. I feel like he'll crush people for a while until people learn to play against it though.

I plan to learn him via Team Builder as a supp. Should be quick queues as supp and he will never be banned.

Yea, I've posted before that I think Azir is a bit UP.

He's probably strongest as a jungler.

I eventually plan on using him as Jung, just figured supp was a quick way to get some exp with him.

Not surprised. His kit just reeks of complexity from a design standpoint. I mean how many individual moving pieces can he have in play at any given time. You have him, his minions, his wall minions, the ghost turrets and then on top of that all his abilities effect both him and his summoned minions. Must be a nightmare from a technical standpoint.

He is certainly fucking hard to play. I played him mid in a normal and did okay. I have to say I think he'd be better in the jungle, his combo is kind of vicious as a gank tool.

Yea, I agree, I do not think he's meant for mid lane at all.. or any lane. He's actually pretty bad 1v1 I've noticed. Very good at chasing & ganking imo.

and thats the reason why he was disabled

We've disabled Azir because of a bug where his ult can permanently stop an enemy tower from shooting. We're working on a fix for that and are looking get him re-enabled as soon as we can. Apologies this has happened, realize it can be quite frustrating.
"Turrets are one of the very few things in the game that are NOT coded as minions.
That said, this is exactly what happens. It attempts to move the turret and that breaks the turret's AI. I had a bug on Lucian where shooting a turret with the passive made the turret face away from Lucian. Why is it my guys always **** up turrets?"

For those doing the WC Pick'ems or just interested in general, SK Jungler Svenskeren was suspended for the first three games of the group stages and fined 2,500 USD. He received the penalties for changing his account name on the Taiwan servers to TAPEICHINGCHONG and then harassing the local players in chat. What a moron. For those playing Pick'em you probably want to drop SK to the third or fourth spot.
