I lost ANOTHER promo in gold 2, this time to a nasus who refused to work with the team. Everyone's low but him? Stand at max range and Q baron without tanking. Get one guy low while baron dancing? Hey, I'm nasus, I'm gonna start this shit up and get us all killed for no reason. Guy had a good score but he was literally 100% why we lost. He also kept TPing to minion waves after 30 minutes, sometimes when one of his own teammates was almost there. Great tactical use of TP there numbnuts.
2 games tonight with a DC player. 35lp and 1 hour wasted. If I'm gonna waste my time playing video games I'd at least like to have fun.
I played a quick normal tonight with Skarner. The big difference to me with lower ping is the change of direction is so much crisper, especially in a team fight. I can actually juke shit now; I thought I was just too old to do that before.
Finished my two games on the accounts I transferred back to NA server. Had to win 1 game on my Gold 2 LAN account, and it placed me in Silver 1. On my "don't give a shit account" I was Silver 2, but placed in Bronze 2 with promo to Bronze 1. The best part was that during my promo I was matched with Gold 1-4 people and people were spazzing out about how a bronzie got into their game. Got the almighty bronze 1, and played one more game in witch I got 30lp. I'm hoping my mmr (60% win rate) will help me skip rankings. I've only seen it on pro streamers. I'd be so happy tho.
I think the best time to play league now is to wait past 9ish est. That way I am playing vs people on west coast with worse ping!

My ping went from 68-ish to insanely stable 18. Like, it didn't move from 18 once all night. Nothing should have ping that stable, it's unwholesome. I only played two games but it definitely made me miss some last hits on Fizz by attacking too soon

Edit: Oh yea, ranked tales. After barely playing SR at all this season, I really binged on Black Market Brawlers and then decided to just keep playing after that ended. Placed in Silver 1, lost my first game then won straight into placement matches, ended up winning my fifth placement match to get into Gold V. That's as high as I bothered to get last season. My brother is playing a lot more with me in team builder so trying to decide if I want to keep grinding ranked or just focus on maybe getting him into it for next season.

Pretty sure it's the rank you have at the end of season (date is given). I wouldn't wait to the last few days to play and rank up for the rewards. That's the time when every shitlord out there is looking to ruin your ranking for the lulz.

Rewards are based on end-of season rank.
You will demote after going 15-20 games under .500 from when you were promoted. So for example, I actually was demoted back to Gold from Plat recently. (Got back to Plat next day though). For that to happen I was first Promoted to Plat at 36 games over .500
I got demoted to Gold when I was at 19 games over .500
So after getting promoted I then went 17 games under .500 and got demoted.
I'm sitting at around 24 games over .500 atm (~12 games under .500 since my 1st promotion to plat).
I'm playing like 1-2 games per day atm, grinding Hearthstone instead and I don't have any aspirations to try for Diamond. Will just maintain plat for end of season.

I was doing this all night going from 90 to 35. I main adc, you can really notice the attack cancels when using attack move at low AS. Once I got a zeal things felt more normal.

~170ms to ~110ms. Fk yea boys! Living in the middle of bumfuck nowhere with somewhat garbage internet sucks, but /shrug. Got to Plat with 170ms back when I played more, maybe will have to make the run back to plat before the season ends just because it'll feel so much nicer! Sitting at gold 2 atm, although my win ratio is basically 50/50 iirc, although I also only have maybe ~100 ranked played this season with probably 3/4 of those played within the first month or two of the season.

So I built someones skarner build a few pages back. Certainly beastly tough, but at least in the games I've played where I've had to basically carry, found damage lacking late. Was torn what to drop for damage without losing too much D, and what to pick up. One game for example sold boots in exchange for triforce since speed would be offset and mix of good stats. And figured sheen a must have for skarner dmg.

If the game lasted to the point where you had 6 items and you were searching for damage, then yeah, maybe sell boots? And that is a massive maybe. I wouldn't do it because being fast on skarner is pretty important, and triforce =/= boots.
Skarner innately does a ton of damage. The point of skarner right now is that he can slow, stun, and immobolize+relocate an enemy team member, all while building nearly pure tank. His problem before was always mana, and the spires did away with that. In addition, they put a stun on his e, so now he's just stupid.

I love the league community. Have game with me on Ez, sona support. No sightstone, builds damage. Same for the enemy zilean support. Go 11/3/16 and get told im a terrible ez player because I didn't shift over the dragon pit wall to help my warwick jungler fight a jungle taric and fiora in an unwarded river in a dark ass map where none of the enemy team is showing right after he has blown his ult. We win and I get told I should never play ez, that I eat shit, god hates me and I should kill myself. Love silver MMR.
It's funny, and maybe a bit shameful that this kind of stuff used to get to me. Now I understand why ppl try to get into bronze and silver, this shit is fucking comedy. I love the troll picks, the flamers and crazies. I no longer look at league as a competition, but a greek tragic comedy with some ren and stimpy thrown in the mix. My enjoyment of the game has increased tenfold.

I made an account just for the bronze fun. Can do any pick you want and where. The sad part you can be trolling, and still win.

Riot really should do something about the IP reward scaling. 50 people on my friends list, at least 48 of them were taking advantage of the 7 min game feed strat with this IP bonus. Cant really blame them since a 7 min loss is more efficient than a 20 min win.
Riot apparently had a post about it saying that if BOTH teams have agreed to this then nothing will happen. They said if someone on either team hasn't agreed to participate then they will look in to take action against those people who do it anyway even though you have someone who wants to play normally.
