There were a few videos, vlogs, and stream moments where the curse household collectively said they were not working together well and a lot of it pointed towards elementz. IDK, I didn't sit through his 33 minute vlog or Saints 10 minute response, but from the reddit/youtube comments I got Elementz was just being whiny and bringing the team down.

From what I can tell Elementz mostly saw himself as a leader/captain. He criticized Saintvicious in his vlog and proclaimed himself to be the better leader due to being a captain in a lacrosse team or something. Then there's also his tweet mentioning "too many chiefs not, enough indians" which pretty much confirms to me that Elementz did not want to accept Saintvicious as the shotcaller. Something like that can obviously lead to a lot of strife within the team but if Saintvicious was accepted as the shotcaller/captain then Elementz shouldn't get sulky about it when he's not the one calling the shots.

I believe this is also why his performance has been lacking. He's not eager to improve anymore, barely plays solo q and if he does it's not even as support. I see it as the guy's motivations lying elsewhere, having a different set of ambitions than the others. If a person like that is unwilling to change his attitude then it's unfortunately time to let him go.

Saint, Doublelift, and Elementz used to be teammates. Saint and DL had a conversation about trying to improve Curse as a team. Part of that conversation was about how weak their bottom lane was. A screencap of that conversation made it to #1 on reddit. Elementz responded in a vlog like an entitled whiny bitch and legitimately criticized Saint for talking shit behind his back when he was supposed to be not only a teammate but team captain.

Saint responded saying he wasn't trying to be a dick, it was a private conversation where he was trying to get advice from DL about how to improve Curse. Saint called Elementz out on having a shit attitude and not wanting / trying to improve his gameplay and being generally lazy / disinterested.

Then Curse went 1-4 this week. Elementz got fired. Which is hilarious because three of the losses this week were direct results of Saint fucking up.

Himeo basically covers my point. Saintvicious has caused internal strife in every team he has been a part of and will continue to do so until he realizes that he is talking to other human beings in a team environment and all of them want the same thing(to improve and win). Some people might function well with him, but some(like Elementz), obviously do not. My main problem with Saintvicious is that he legitimately refuses to own up to his own mistakes the vast majority of the time and when he is confronted about them he tries to pin the blame on others(go drum up some of the old CLG conversations that were made public from when he was a member).

ADC/Support need good synergy and that's one thing I think we saw that was lacking on Curse as the season progressed and other bot lanes got better but was by no means Curse's only shortcoming. You need only to look at the VODs to see how many times Saint missed a smite or initiated a terrible fight, or where Nyjacky was just completely off in left field for no apparent reason. They needed to come together as a team, not force a teammate out.

Edit: Maybe it was impossible for them to come together as a team? That's entirely possible as Elementz and Saint have a history of disagreements and even if they decided that was the case I really think they fired the wrong guy.

when is the next patch? I presume it includes lissandra...is it going to have ARAM as a queue mode?

The big Freljord patch should include aram mode and the reworked map, yea. I wouldn't be surprised if it hit this week, but also wouldn't be shocked if it was next week.

I'd assume the patch would most likely be this week, although I could see them pushing it back at most 1 more week. Considering Zac was released...(gotta wiki this)...March 29th, means it's been over 3 weeks now since the last champion. If they wanted to keep up with their ~1 champion every 3-4 weeks it's gotta be soon.

Really can't wait for Lissandra though, definitely looks like a ton of fun. Also, that Sejuani rework is going to be a blast to try out. I like playing Sej as she is now and the rework only seems to improve almost everything about her.

I thought I read somewhere that they were scaling back the new champ release rate, but goddamn if I can find a link.

Crossing my fingers for the lissandra/trundle patch this week. Being able to have a fresh experience on my old favorite champ, trundle, is going to bring back some fun memories of dumpster diving around summoners rift when I was leveling to 30. Really looking forward to all the skin remakes for him too.

I don't know, Cop taking barrier over cleanse into Amumu seems pretty derp.

Saint can be an ass but he is also a very good shot caller and player. He needs a team that can work with him and Curse for the most part can. I don't know if you ever watch Doublelift's stream, but man he is an ass to his team. Fortunately Doublelift is usually right whereas Saint will often care more about winning the argument than being right.

Unfortunately Curse has the worst bottom lane in LCS and by the last few weeks other teams really started to take advantage of it. Everyone on the team was making bad plays but their bot lane has been losing it hard for them. They have become too much of a liability for Curse. I am actually curious to see how Cop does with another support. I don't think Cop is very good but I wonder if a good support could make them good enough. Elementz is freaking plat 4 ffs...

Dig is having the same problems. Other teams are taking advantage of Scarra's incredibly small champion pool and banning him out or playing his champs which has made him TERRIBLE. I worry for All-Stars. >.<

I wish I could find the picture, but on reddit a couple days ago iirc it was something like 85 out of (however many champions there are?) 110 or so champions have been either picked or banned. It's pretty crazy that ~75% of the total champions in the game are at least somewhat viable in high end competitive play.

I'm actually hoping NA all-stars do well in their games. I'd like to see a 3rd NA team for the World Champs since I tend to follow the NA teams the most. Plus come on, Saint, Dyrus, Scarra, Dlift & Xspecial...that sounds stacked as fuck. Saint and Dlift are probably two of the best players in their positions in the world. Xspecial assuming he gets his Sona or Lulu is solid. Dyrus on Malphite or Shen is pretty godmode. Scarra can imo fill almost any role since his Diana, Kayle & Gragas are all solid, yet he can fall back on a Zed, Karthus or Kat if he needs to.

Saint is good, best NA jungler right now, but he's hardly even top 3 in the world. He plays a 'carry' style jungle so he gets more credit then he deserves a lot of times and he's, self-admitedly, horrible at smite battles. Diamondprox and then a couple of the asian junglers (I can never keep their names straight) are better overall, some play more support style which has less obvious glory since their KDA ratios aren't always impressive, but they consistently help their teammates win lanes or keep map/ward control.

The NA team sounds stacked, but I'd still place money on a Euro, Korean or Chinese all star team to beat that lineup 7 out of 10 games. I mean, Froggen/Alex_ich, Diamondprox, Edward/Krepo, Genja/Yellowstar and Wickd/Soaz would probably demolish them. Any of the roles other than jungle is a tossup between the two names, imo, probably preferable to keep an AD/support combo together, even if a different player is individually stronger. Hell, the Taipei Assassins (or is it Azubu Assasins now?) normal roster would probably still beat our allstar lineup even if they had weeks to practice together. They are 27-1 in their league over there, and against better competition. It's unfortunate, but true. NA is catching up a bit, but still behind the other regions in overall skill right now.

It is funny ya'll keep saying you think Saint is the best NA jungler, however, diamond just recently had an interview and he said Saint was worse than Oddone. Which I don't believe Saint is top due to the mere fact he has admitted that he can't win smite wars...then how the hell can he be the best NA jungler? I think the Euro team will demolish the NA team as it has 3 Gambit team members and they are known for smashing NA. Also InSec I believe is one of the other top junglers you are missing...I believe Lilballz is another as well. Also Diamond said he wouldn't pick any NA players if he could make a dream team...even went as far as saying it would be all Asian players.

You guys do realize "smite wars" is pretty much 100% luck right? Any good team won't risk it, they'll peel off before Baron gets in smite range and kills off the enemy jungler or start the 5v5 fight. It's not like each jungler is sitting next to baron calculating how much burst every player is going to do so they can smite baron perfectly at 1k hp.

Saint carries more games, but also derps some games away, Oddone is more consistent. But, right now, Saint has an edge on him overall. It's gone back and forth at times, Oddone used to be hands down the best NA jungler, but he seems to just get into a comfort zone more often, never making any big plays.

When *I* say smite wars, I just mean timing smite to secure any objective, not just baron. On baron it's more luck then anything, but dragon/red/blue, he too often mistimes it and lets someone else steal the objective, not just the enemy jungler with smite but even just normal abilities because he used smite slightly too early.

That's secondary to being a good jungler though, knowing where and when to show up before hand is more important. Ganking/counterganking at the right times, seeing a wave is going to need to be cleared to hold that tower after someone had to leave lane, etc.. there's all kinds of other things that make a good jungler. Saint is a more aggressive ganker and counter jungler than Oddone and often makes something happen for his team that gives them a clear advantage, but when those plays go wrong they sometimes lose the game as well.

InSec and Lilballz are both very good, but I think there's another one as well, cloudtemplar maybe? Point is, there's at least 3 other junglers in the world, probably 5+, better than Saint or Oddone. Same could be said about almost any other role too.
